Hi every one 1. pre-op: 257 current: 137 Goal: 135 2. I eat alot of SF yogurt mixed with a protien suppliment, carb countdown choco milk with protien suppliment, cheese and wheat crackers, salads, regular food but in small portins with an empahsis on protien. 1. Pre-op/Current/Goal? 338/228?/175-180? 2. What are you eating on a regularly basis? food (too much) chicken salad sandwiches (mainly a half at lunch and the other half 2 hrs later), spaghetti, hamburger, sweet potatoe fries, salad, ham, turkey, and anything else I can get my hands on (not doing too good on the selections) 3. Any regrets/complications/issues? My old habits are creeping back so its time to see the nutritionist to reinenforce the guidelines. No complications Now that I work 2 jobs its hard to stay on track. 4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein? Vitamins what? LOL I take them just not on a regular like I should. I mainly get my protein in my food but will pick up a shake here and there. 5. Any advice? Stay focused, do what's best for you. Keep up the good work, you all look great! JaNae

Topic: RE: Our "FIRST" Thanksgiving
The holidays have never been a big deal with me. I do so much of the cooking that I am sick of smelling it and really don't want it. Now DA SUGA is something else. Stay away......stay completely away..... OK back away from the cake...pie....cookies and any thing else

I will have a little bit of everything that I want, but I will skip the desserts! I still don't do sugar. Actually, I can't wait to have some cornbread dressing! Sherry 259/154/130

Topic: RE: Our "FIRST" Thanksgiving
Hi I am going to "skip" thanksgiving this year, going on vacation with a group of friends. There will be no family and no special dinner... so I lucked out. However, I have had many special occasions post op and would treat Thanksgiving as such. I would allow myself to have a TINY bit of everything. Full flavor. Full fat. Full calories. Some ppl disagree with this approach, but I figure I have to deal with my post WLS body for EVER for the rest of my life and I better find a way now to include special occasions like Thanksgiving. Its just not realistic to think we will never enjoy those things again. For me, its best I learn now to just have a SMALL portion and be satisfied. Rather then missing it all together. Just my thoughts. I hope everyone has a fun thanksgiving and that the food deamonds don't rear their ugly heads. P.S. Turkey is a great source of protein. Try eating a portion of that first and then having a taste of everything else

Hey guys, with Thanksgiving fast approaching, I was wondering what all of you were planning to do. I thought about making 'healthy' alternatives to our traditional sides but I'm also thinking about just skipping the holiday altogether. How about all of you?

I can totally relate. I started at 252 (my highest weight). Now, I weigh between 130-135 depending on the day. Everyone says I'm too thin, and yet I'm happy and comfortable with where I am. The hardest thing I face today is maintaining my weight.
