1. Pre-op/Current/Goal? 229+/155/135
2. What are you eating on a regularly basis? Breakfast: homemade ground flax applesauce raisin muffins and a glass of Isopure - 1st Snack - usually a cheese stick and some applesauce, lunch - usually just taco salad I make at work (I make enough on Sunday for work that week - no brainer - I take the cheese, fat free sour creme, taco sauce and baked doritos with my container of meat) 2nd snack - depends on if I am going to work out after work - cheese stick and fruit (apple, grapes, or maybe a cucumber) and dinner - depends try to eat a variety but mostly protein with some carbs like green bean cassorole or roast beef with carrots. I try to stay away from white things like wihte bread, potatoes, rice, etc.
3. Any regrets/complications/issues? No regrets - even with having 3 strictures and an ulcer - I'd do it again tomorrow!
4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein? Vitamins - I have a regimin that I do in the morning and afternoon - most problems are on the weekend when I forget the afternoon ones. I get plenty of protein and make sure I get 10 ounces/20 grams of Isopure first thing in the morning to get my system working.
5. Any advice? Know what you are eating - calories and all! I use Fitday software to keep track of everything and it really makes a difference. Also exercise! The more you can the better you will feel. Currently I run almost daily 2 - 5 miles depending on time and then I do Curves 2 or 3 times a week, plus a video (just started Chicometrics) a couple times a week. Mix it up!
Thanks for starting this thread JaNae - it's great to get everyone posting again!

Hi Everyone!
It's always fun to see how great everyone is doing.
1. Preop: 277; Current: 160; Goal: 154 (I've already met my doctor's goal which was 163. 154 is the goal I have set for myself because it is the magic BMI for my height when I would be "nomal." I am not sure my weight has ever been in the "normal" range -ever!) I consistently wear a size 8 which freaks me out - I still weight 160 lbs and it doesn't seem like I should fit into an 8. Or a "small." Who would have thought that?
2. I normally eat yogurt a couple of times a day. I love South Beach protein bars also - sounds like I'm not the only one! I usually eat a Smart Ones for lunch. I do eat 6 times a day still - that has become comfortable. My big indulgence that I now allow myself is red wine and microwave popcorn. The 100 calorie bags are perfect. I am eating more, and eating pretty much what I want, and still losing very slowly.
3. Absolutely no regrets. I have had two complications - a stricture about 6 weeks out (made me very ill but the "fix" was really easy) and a hernia at 8 months out (didn't bother me a bit but the "fix" was pretty tough). Issues: I would be happy to stay around this weight - I do worry about gaining. I can eat more and more - sometimes I am really hungry. As long as the scale keeps moving in the right direction, even really slowly, I'm good. I just worry about this ending and it creeping back up.
4. I do well on vitamins and protein. I take my vitamins and calcium twice a day. I don't usually have protein drinks any more but sometimes I crave one, so I think my body is trying to tell me something. I also am still exercising regularly, but not quite as religiously as I was.
5. Advice? Just stick it out, especially through those nasty stalls. Those are so frustrating. My sister had the surgery earlier this week - it's amazing how much I have forgotten. I wish I had been better about writing things down.
Best of luck to everyone! Thanks for sharing your stories! You inspire me.

1. Pre-op/Current/Goal?
255/246/230? - size 10 pants and med/lg top
2. What are you eating on a regularly basis?
Eat a little bit of everything - have to remind myself to drink enough and get enough veggies in. Still can't each much in the way of anything sweet and some carbs like potatoes. Tend to graze rather than eat a meal sometimes.
3. Any regrets/complications/issues?
Wish I had done it sooner. No complications. Issues - nothing that didn't bother me before - this does not solve all of your problems... Having some trouble with thinner hair the last month. Getting some wrinkles that I didn't have before.
4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein?
Take 2 chewable Flinstones with iron and a few tums each day. Labs have been fine
5. Any advice?
Enjoy!

This is a good one for me....makes me really think about where I should be.
1) 397/ 270/199
2) I stick to NO sugars but am bad about carbs. I have an eggfor breakfast, a deli sandwich w/ chips for lunch and I try and get some major protein in for dinner.
3) No complications at all, absolutly no regrets, and I still carry food issues.
4) ha
5) I can't give advice but I will definatly take some.
I am so proud of all of us. We have all come very far!
Topic: RE: Updates...Progress Reports...
hello everyone.. I am finally done with my stall.. I've basically lost more in this last week then I have in the last two months.. it's kinda all unreal.. I thought it was over.. I guess not.. yeah to that!!!
1. 264/254/159/size 8..
2. ground turkey.. protein shakes.. loads of tuna.. loads of fruit.. string cheese and cottage chese are still my favorite snacks.. I love South Beach protein bars for snacks.. I can pretty much eat anything except ice cream.. go figure. I allow myself everything.. but it's always planned and moderated
3. no regrets.. ever.. just wish this surgery was more safe when I was younger.. I think I want my 20's back. Everyone says I look 10 years younger so perhaps my wish has come true.. hehe
4. 6/7 days I nail it.. every once in a while I screw up. oh well
5. Just keep chuggin along.. 'cause apparently you can still loose 4 pounds in one week when you are 10.5 months out.. imagine that? Im pretty sure this is because I've changed my work out pattern to interval training.. it's the only thing I can put my finger on in all this craziness.. go crazy!!!!
Hope everyone is well..

1. Pre-op: 287
Current: 149
Goal: ?, maybe 135, BMI that is "normal".
2. I eat protein first, then veggies or salad and small amount of carb, very small. No sugar at all.
3. I don't have any regrets at all. I feel so much healthier and don't feel like I am slowly dying. I now have to deal with all the "issues" I avoided and live life.
4. I take my vits everyday. I take at least one protein sup everyday, if not two. My biggest problem is getting all my fluids. I can't gulp down a large amount, so I have to sip during the day. I get distracted and . . . .
5. This is a life-long process that isn't right for everyone. It's not easy, but the benefits have far outweighed the false feelings of comfort, security and acceptance that food gave me. It can be overwhelming and difficult at times, but is well worth it!
Topic: RE: TAILBONE PAIN UPDATE!!
What do u all do to ease the pain, i find it unbearable at times. By the way I will be having a colonoscopy to see about the fluid, but the doc doesnt think its anything serious, just doing it as a precaution. I would like to know how to ease this pain though, any good advice would help.
Thanks
Joanne

I have also been told to "stop losing wieght". I am not realy wanting to lose much more but it just keeps comming off. Oh what a problem, right? I feel good and every one saus I look great. They call me "skinny". I can't believe it. I still feel like the old me and then I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirrror and It's like "oh my God, that's me". Also, men are paying attention to me...strange. Well I read posts about this stuff and now it is happening to me...it's all part of it I guess.

Hi all
My tail bone hurts because I have no more insulation. Usually if I get into the tub or lay flat on the floor it hits bottom. Oh well.
