Have you tried cocoa via? It tastes like chocolate but does have some good stuff like b12 in it. It is a little pricey but very good. It is rich so a little bit goes a long ways. I have found this at Walmart and Target.
What about making some protein balls (the ones with protein supplement and peanut butter) and keeping them handy to satisfy the sweet tooth?

Topic: Candy trouble
Hi everyone,
I am having a hard time with the candy! I am looking for ideas, let me tell you a little of what is going on. I am having a VERY hard time staying away, when my baby wakes in the middle of the night I am more than happy (this is not normal-to be happy to get up) to get her the bottle....because there is potty training candy in the kitchen for my middle child. My intent is to chew and spit it in the garbage (sorry) but I get into the moment and accidently swollow it-then I get another! Then I feel so bad and go to bed. Now tonight is trick-r-treating and I am afraid of the candy. I have already planned on going to just a few houses for the kids, but I am honestly afraid of myself...and yes I can eat sugar...no problem. If you have any ideas please help. I know there is a eating problem, I have walked by the candy here at work all day, its that midnight sweet cravings!

1. Pre-op/Current/Goal?
Pre-op 315 as you know the last time I would get on a scale
Current 180 this was where my doctor said would be ok
Goal I really don't have a goal. Coming from way over 315lbs. I already think I look good. Plus I'm 5' 6 1/2"
2. What are you eating on a regularly basis?
Any thing that doesn't eat me first. I have been pretty good in the controlling the amounts. I have tried tiny teeny bits of sugar but am afraid to go hog wild. Sugar was my down fall. I don't deny me any thing. The worst habit I do have, if I think I had two many little bites of sugar I will spit it back out. I know thats just down right NASTY. I have a chocolate protein drink mixed into my coffee every morning and sometimes at night when I think I want sweets I make a 4oz chocolate protein drink. Then I am good to go
3. Any regrets/complications/issues?
I need to have my shoulder replaced on Dec 6. They wanted me to stop loosing so I would heal right. I wonder if and how much more I would have lost by now if I had not started to eat carbs to hold where I am now.
I HATE my sagging chicken thighs. I feel my bat wings are bigger than my thighs.
My mom just had to have a bypass last Monday so would I do this again????? In a heart beat.
4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein?
I am good about the vitamins and protein. I just felt like I traded in my old meds for new better ones.
5. Any advice?
I tell people that think this will change your dating life it won't. Will it give you a better chance of a longer life it will. I was already a happy person with all the hard knots life threw at me and this sugery didn't make me a happy person. It just helped me to live life a whole lot better

1. Pre-op/Current/Goal?
259/154/130
I'm 5'4" tall and in a size 12. I really want to see a size 8! People are starting to tell me that I don't need to lose any more weight, which is totally not true. These people are always thinner than I am. I guess they don't want me to catch up. hehe
Even if I don't lose another pound, I would still have this surgery again in a heartbeat. It hasn't solved all of life's problems, but I sure feel better!
2. What are you eating on a regular basis?
Protein Supplement (unjury or nectar), Cheese sticks, dried pineapple, pretty much anything I want except sugar or chips. I eat out at lunch most days, but I avoid fast food. Things I really enjoy but not daily - popcorn, SF Dreyers Neopolitan Ice Cream, and SF Snackwell Shortbread or lemon cookies
3. Any regrets/complications/issues?
No regrets and zero complications! Praise God!
4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein?
I'm like a drill sergeant Mon - Fri, but on the weekends I'm a little lax.
5. Any advice?
For pre-ops, do your homework before you decide to do this! Don't go into it thinking it's the easy way out. For post-ops, remember to exercise and that this is a total lifestyle change!

Hi
1. Pre-op/Current/Goal? 248/138/150
2. What are you eating on a regularly basis? corned beef deli meat on melba thin rye bread, cottage cheese, chili, grapes, peaches, veggie soups.
3. Any regrets/complications/issues? No regrets, just wish I could have been able to do it on my own. No complications..issues are with the people around me who I thought would be happy for me..I am feeling very much alone right now..guess I need to find new relationships more supportive. Needing the nerve and motivation to do it instead of feeling sorry for myself.
4. How are you doing on vitamins and protein? doing them everyday.
5. Any advice? Take one day at a time and accept changes as they come. I guess we have no choice but to be patient and hopefully we can find a way to adapt to many changes happening in our lives and with our relationships.
Topic: RE: Our "FIRST" Thanksgiving
I love the holidays so I couldn't just skip them... I'm going to be with my family so I don't have a lot of control over all the food - though I suppose I could bring some "altered" dishes. My plan is to do what I always try to do... eat my protein first (so turkey, here I come) and hopefully I'll be so full I won't be able to eat too much mashed potatoes lol
