Topic: RE: I eat too fast
I have not yet sat down w/a plate of food. I pick off stuff, and I still chew my meat but I do not swallow it. I know it sounds crazy, but I will maybe swallow one bite, but the rest I spit it out.
I have been doing this for sometime now, because for the 1st 3months I was on liquids and then after that, you know the soft baby stuff. But I still prefer broth over a meal ... now that is scary

You are not alone and need advice as well. Candy, sweets, sugar is my weakness and I know that I would have lost more without it. I have tried to avaid buying it when I go to the store or if its offered to me at work but its hard. I have brought a lot of SF items but its not working for me.

That's great! I had my surgery 27 Dec 05 and it has been fantastic. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I was at 372 one year ago and am now at 197. I have gone from size 54 pants to size 38. The only bad thing is I am becoming a clothes hound..LOL, oh well we all have our crosses to bear!

i am 5ft 3in tall
high weight of 275 (260 at surgery) Co-morbids at surgery- Diabetes type 2, PCOS
now 188
goal 120-140
I was always told the first 6 months are critical. but you can still lose the weight after that . you just have to work a little harder.
Exercise is paramount to long term weight loss and success.
also we have to be acountable for what we put in our mouths. Just because we can have certain "bad" foods, Should we eat them? NO!
Carbs are my big issue.
food journaling is something we shoud do to "see" what we are actually eating. WATER, WATER, WATER!!!!

i'm there with you.
In my case i can only blame myself.
i got hit pretty hard with the emotional aspects of this surgery and food issues.
not to mention i haven't been exercising like i should.
my weightloss slowed at around month 4 and since then a pound here and there comes off.
i've been hovering at 185-190 for over a month.
size 18 since month 6.
