As far as I know You do need a perscription for the B12. But a vial that will last you a whole year only coasts 7.00 at the pharmacy. Then it is up to you to give yourself the injections. Some people say that you can also inhale the b12 I think that the injections are the way to go. I stopped the b12 for awhile and saw a difference. I have gone back to 1cc every 2 weeks and feel sooo much better. I work at a medical facility and some of the other girls in the office have used the injections and we all see a difference in energy. I did read where it increases apetit. I dont like that. At this point in the game I feel like i eat too much. I can tell at least the next day that I have had the shot. This wasn't a lot of info but I hope it helped

I get more of my protein from the shakes still, I take my vitamins, and vegetables. I was never really a meat eater. I do eat fish, tuna, shrimp, and crabmeat. So I get some form of protein in one fashion. I want to be 48lbs lighter, my goal by december 22nd is 200lbs even. So if I am not then that will be fine. If I am 220 that will be ok too that means I've lost 200lbs in 1year. So I have complaints about that

Topic: B12 questions
Do you have to have a prescription for B12 injections? Do any of you know how long you can expect to feel the effects of B12 supplementation? Here's my story. I haven't taken my B12 in MONTHS. I have been feeling VERY fatigued for over three weeks. I just realized that I had not been taking my B12 this morning when I saw it in the cabinet. We are foster parents, and we had a precious little one come to stay with us in June. I guess I broke my routine and just forgot all about B12. I am now convinced that this is the explanation for my fatigue and headaches. I wonder if I get a B12 injection how long it will be before I start feeling better. What can you guys tell me about B12 and B12 deficiency?

Petty, I did it, but I'm not sure I can tell you how. Mine said it couldn't automatically switch over, but then it did actually switch over. I went into the old profile, copied the information, and then pasted it into the new one. It was a fluke, but it worked. Surely there are some instructions on here somewhere on how to properly do this! Maybe look on the main message board toward the top. Sometimes they post that kind of information there. Good luck! I hate to say I started at 315 because we all know I was MORE than that. I will be having (I hope) my surgery on Dec 6 so I am eating a few carbs every day trying not to loose any weight. Every time I read that I laugh. Me trying not to loose weight. I had been holding at 180 but today I was 178. Thats not too bad as long as it doesn't drop too much more. The doctors say I won't heal right if I am in weight lost mode. I have bird legs that are wrinkled to no end. People stay on me because nearly everything I wear is too big. I hate having to get more clothes so I wear them until the cows come home. I did buy on sale today a pair of 16 jeans. I was amazed when I got home and they were too big. If you can put both of your hands in the waist band and still have room thats too big. I took them back and got a 14!!!!!!! yeah US What I really wonder is...after all the surgery business is over will I be able to drop any more weight or will I be where I am now. If I don't I am happy about my size but a size 12 jean does sound a whole lot better than the 32's I once had.

Topic: RE: Any recipies for our 1st Holidays?
I am like the holiday baker w/all fat and sugar...but now I have to change... So I have tried the philly cream cheese that is low fat with some orange juice and the marshmallow creme which is very light on sugar. This makes a GREAT fruit dip! I did not have any problems digesting it. You can also use the fat free/sugar free puddings to make more like cream pies if you like those. I made a sugar free banana cream pie and it went over well.
