You look fantastic! It is so awesome to see the WOWs! I have to look at pictures too and I get a kick out of my shadow. Weird, huh? I can truly see how small it is, but can't necessarily see it in the mirror. Yes, God has been good to all of us. I give Him 100% of the glory as well!

Petty,
Next time be sure to eat good beforehand and take something to drink with you like 1/3 gatorade 2/3 water and something to eat like fruit. Be sure to eat and drink and sit for a while before you leave. That should help you not feel so lightheaded and get you around the juice that is mostly corn syrup and the cookies. You shouldn't drive for at least 1/2 hour afterwards. I used to faint every time I gave blood so I had to quit but I know the juice and cookies did help me feel better. Now I have to take my own if I need to do blood. Even giving a few vials can make me light headed!

Becky,
You look awesome, I remember before surgery we e-mailed each other, now its almost a year later. Can you believe it! I have checked up on your profile occasionally to see how your doing. I am also starting to have a few issues with old habits resurfacing, mostly negative thinking since my loss has really slowed down. I am 12 pounds from goal and haven't lost in a month. I remember last year thinking how strong of faith you had, and I new you'd do well. Congrats!

I guess even in pictures, I still don't always see the BIG WOW! That is until I got my school picture from this year and compared it to last years!!
Scroll to the bottom of my profile and you will see what I mean.

Topic: RE: How are you upping your calories? I need advice!
Thanks for the help April! I haven't tried the SB protein bars, I'm eating these Pure Protein ones that are 20 g protein and 190 calories, but seeing what you eat, makes me wonder if I'm lacking in protein, I'm estimating that I'm only getting around 50-60 g a day... appreciate the help and great job on your results, you look fab!
Topic: RE: Depressed?
Janet, Thanks so much for your encouraging words. Like you, I have battled depression before the surgery also -in fact, off and on my whole life. This one seems to just be lingering and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Your suggestion of a change of pace is a really good one - I have all next week off and am really going to try to focus on my mental health.
And thanks for saying I don't look 50!! I do think the weight loss had helped me look and feel younger - all the more reason I should NOT be depressed!
Have a wonderful thanksgiving! Thanks again,
Lisa

I have the bones of some one in their 80's. They are so brittle and I have broken my hip twice. I fell a few years ago and crumbled my left shoulder. Having had so many surgeries I kept putting it off. Now I can barely lift my arm over my head.
Left shoulder total replacement. I have so much metal in me you could make a killing at a scrap metal yard.

It's not just you, Lisa.
I am still hidding out at the house..feeling depressed..
I was feeling this way before surgery. However, I went to my hometown last Labor Day Weekend and ran my tush off and I snapped out of the depression for a couple of weeks. I'm back in the funk again, but planning on going back to my home town again for Thanksgiving..hopefully I'll get that break again..
By the way, You look fantastic! I would have never guessed you to be 50 years old! Your heavy pictures, yes..but the weight loss has given you 20 years!
I hope you feel better soon..try a change of pace..go somewhere and kick up your heels some..it helps!
Hugs,
Janet
