Topic: RE: Fun Questions for Today
1) What new things do you hope to start doing, or learn after weight loss? I want to take my grankids snow tubing and to the water park-and join them on the slides 2) If you had 10 minutes to talk alone to the President of the US, What would you say? I would tell him that I pray for him and our country. I would tell him to resist the urge for a One World Government-hey, we know it's coming but let's put it off as long as possible. I would ask him to help with health care-but anyone who thinks socialized medicine is a good thing-needs to look at Canada-and the Medicare fiasco. I would tell him to ignore the hate mongering certian political parties are famous for, and to stand up for the conservative values that put him in office, and I would ask him to consider moving to the right-I think he is way too liberal for the good of our country. 3) What is the weirdest thing you have noticed about your weight loss? I don't like the bat wings-that's for sure. 4) What is your favorite season and why? Summer, just the relaxed feeling I get, sitting with my hubby and foster son on our deck-watching the quiet calm of our yard-hey, we live in the woods. 5) If you won the lottery for 1 Million Dollars what would you do with it? First of all, I've never played in my life-but if I would happen to find the winning ticket on the sidewalk or something-I'd give-family, church, and a few well chosen charities.

Hi Sherr, I live in a town with two colleges. The smaller one, SUNY Canton, has a wonderful fitness center. The private college, St. Lawrence University, is also open to the community, but is quite expensive. However, SUNY Canton's fitness center is only $17 a month if you pay for six months at a time. They have treadmills, elipticals, steppers, a weight circuit, free weights, a walking track, and so on. I have been going three days a week since mid-February, and this week I hope to make it four days. So far, I have worked myself up to 14 minutes on the treadmill at 2.2 mph and seven minutes on the exercise bike at about 14 mph. Each week I increase this. I also do all of the weight circuit machines, doing double reps on most of them. My weights vary from 20 lb. up to 70 lb. for some of the leg exercises. I spend about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes each time I go. I am very pleased with it. Quite a number of community, faculty, and staff use the center, as well as the students. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I even have a free locker and could shower afterward if I wanted to. I had a little trouble getting started, but now that I am mostly in the habit of going nearly every day, I do enjoy it. I feel bad if I don't go. I also track my exercise on fitday.com, which really helps me see how many extra calories I burn every day! I am also thinking about taking water aerobics again at a SUNY campus about 10 miles away in Potsdam once it is warmer. I took one class last fall before surgery, and I really liked it, but it was at night, which was hard for me to do, as I have other activities at nigh****er aerobics is a great way to get started. Everyone there was friendly also! So get your buns moving!!! Once you do, you will feel better and lose more inches... BTW, miraculously is right. Exercise was the wrong one!! Take care, Pat

Good luck with the epidural....I did a round of 3 and a facet blocker. The epidurals didn't do much for me but some folks say they are great! I hope it works. I do have to say though that since I have lost @ 65 lbs, I have quit taking the darvacet & muscle relaxers that I used to live on just to move. Now I occasionally take a tylanol & that is working fine!! I am also guilty of not exercising like I should. I just moved from GA to TX last week & everything is so craxy!! But, there is hope...there is a 24 hr exercise room on the property!!! YEAH!! I can't wait to get started so maybe i will loose faster & not sag so bad. Good luck to all. Alison

1) What new things do you hope to start doing, or learn after weight loss? Be more active outdoors. The heat always bothered me so I was an indoor person. I want to ride my bike and swim. 2) If you had 10 minutes to talk alone to the President of the US, What would you say? HEALTH CARE is not a luxury. 3) What is the weirdest thing you have noticed about your weight loss? I lose in layers. Like rings off a child's stacking toy. 4) What is your favorite season and why? Winter....in FLORIDA 5) If you won the lottery for 1 Million Dollars what would you do with it? Invest and take care of our siblings and his parents

I have found that Ka****rail Mix bars and High Protein granola have fixed my constipation issues. Thanks goodness because I don't like coffee or tea, I was a mountain dew drinker.
