Anyone go down in a shoe size yet? I have not. I'm wearing the same old shoes. I'm just curious if it happens. Thanks, Sunny
Topic: RE: Happy Monday!
Hi All! I too still have problems keeping food down. Happens several times a week still. If I overeat, it makes me nauseaus and then hopefully I get sick. If I don't get sick I just feel yucky for an hour and a half with that bubbles in the mouth thing. Anyone else get that bubble stuff too? I can't eat a lot of things..meat, chicken being the most difficult. They just don't sit right. I eat a lot of soups, cottage cheese, eggs and cereal. I had my first salad tonight. Been too scared to try it and it was delish! I cut it up in little pieces..it looked kind of like coleslaw sized pieces. It sat great with my pouch. keep up the great losses everyone. I've now lost 44lbs. I'm very happy with that. been enjoying cleaning out my closet. xoxo to all! Sunny

Hi Diana,
Yippee for you. Doesn't it feel wonderful to have broke that 50 lb mark? I only weigh on Monday's and hit 52 lbs, I was so disapointed last week when it was 49.
Last night I went out to dinner with my family to Outback Steakhouse, it wasn't such a good experience. I had a couple of bites of my brother's steak, and a couple bites of my Mom's prime rib- the prime did not sit so well. I also had a coconut shrimp and two bites of salad and one bite of onion blossom. Needless to say all of that means I over ate and on the way home I had my husband pull over on the interstate so that I could . Well gee, thinking we were having car problems my brother and then my mother both pulled over. How embarrassing. I told my husband later that I just cannot let everyone feed me. I will order my own meals and only eat what I am allowed from now on.
I hope everyone else's weekend ended better.
Have an awsome week!

Hi Diana. I had a good weekend and I can say that I am having fewer problems with now which is great. Good job on the weight loss. I am down 41 pounds now and very happy with the changes in my blood pressure and pain while walking is gone too. Oh, and I am so glad to be getting rid of my "fat" clothes for good! Have a great week. Joy

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. Anyone out there want to share your progress?
I am doing well...enjoying eating a few new things. I had steak last night and it was really good! I haven't ed in a while which makes me very happy! And best of all, when I weighed this AM I finally lost that extra pound (and more) so I can say, I have lost 51.5 lbs since my surgery! Woo-hoo!!
Topic: RE: Itching???
Med reaction? I had a severe reaction to actigal(surgeon uses it to hopefully stop bariatric patients from needing to have there gall bladders removed). I stopped taking it which helped. The itching was driving me mad! My skin has also been very dry since the surgery--Was told to up the fluids and use Aveeno. Good luck!
Topic: RE: In what ways.......
I don't really think my life has changed all that much, YET. I know that I am a role model for more people than I ever expected. I can move better (w/ less pain), but still not as good as I want. I still sometimes eat because I want to enjoy the taste, but then end up disappointed. I still want to eat more than I physically can, but I am getting better. More and more, I just eat because I have to. My other goals are still down the road a bit, but I know I'll get there. And, as a plus, I think that when I do reach my goals, I will have helped and inspired others to start their own road to healthier lives. That thought really helps me on my journey. Everyone here should know that they are really helping others as well. Melissa, I know that you have really helped me. Ya done good, girl!

Topic: RE: where to count a 100lbs gone
I count from my highest recorded weight, which was at my 1st appt w/ my surgeon, 10/13/05. It was 380 then. I am pretty sure I gained a few pounds before I started his pre-surgery diet at the end of Oct, but I don't know for sure. My next appt was Dec 1, and I had lost 16 lbs, down to 364. Surgery was 12/21, but they never weighed me. I have sort of used the 12/1 weight as my pre-surgery wt, but I don't know if I lost or gained anything between 12/1 and 12/21. Now I'm right at 300 so I consider that I have lost 80 lbs since I started my wls journey. What is the "correct" way? I don't really know. But for me, I'm down 64 lbs since surgery and 80 overall. Congratulations on your teriffic losses!!
