Hi Becky great post!
I am going to be honest, I have broken most of the "RULES" below but in spite of it all, I have lost 67 pounds in 3 months....
1) Eaten chips? Yes, tortilla chips and 2 or UTZs
2) Tried soda? Yes, diet soda flattened.
3) Tried something with sugar? Yes, no dumping but that's not good
4) Eaten Popcorn? Yes, at the movies and it was yummmmyyy...
5) Chewed Gum? Yes, but not a big gum chewer...give me food instead
6) Skipped a meal? Yes, mainly breakfast
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? Last week was the first time I didn't exercise at all.
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? No, I usually have some sort of meat (chicken, turkey, seafood or beef w/my meal) so I can't miss the protein
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? No, not a drinker
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, lots of times. Usually bringing a doggie bag home and letting it sit in the fridge. Some meals I can't reheat and eat. But, I enjoy eating out.
In spite a little cheating here and there, I am not mad at myself. I've lost 67 lbs doing something right. From time to time I think about what if the weightloss stops but I know that its not. But, if I don't lose another pound, I thank God for allowing me to have this surgery. I am more happier and healthier than I have ever been before at 27 years old. I know that I will never see the 300s again...

i want to use fitday.com. does it work for us who have had the surgery even though our nutrution is a little different (calorie needs and such)? also i tried to put in a custom food and it would not let me use the amount of calories it was. i each a cottage double every morning and it is 140 calories and it kept telling me it was supposed to be 229 calories based on the amount of fat and such, why does it do this? is kcal the same as calories.. that may be the reason...? help me please! thanks! also i am three months out, about how many calories were you eating at this point? i tried to call my nutritionist but she never calls back so bleh!. thanks a ton!

1) Eaten chips? I have eaten some Tortilla chips, but my most common food in this area is crackers.
2) Tried soda? Nope....... can't imagine how full THAT would make me
3) Tried something with sugar? No, I am diabetic so this was a continuation of my pre-surgery habits anyway.
4) Eaten Popcorn? No, just haven't been anywhere it was the snack.
5) Chewed Gum? No, but I have sure thought about it with the bad taste in my mouth.
6) Skipped a meal? No, just small meals. Hey, I am not fat for no reason!
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? I still haven't gotten into a routine of exercise. Where is this energy burst?????
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? No.....I eat crackers often with tuna or cheese so it has been half and half at times.
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? Yes, one glass of red wine once. (Two hours to sip that six ounces).
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, often. I choose a dish with mostly pure protein. Lots of appetizer 'meals' and doggie bags. It is so economical to have lunch already made the next couple of days! Hubby loves the leftovers too.
I am down 45 pounds at three months. (Started at 240, 5'4"). I was told by the surgeon and nutrionist not to worry about carbs and calorie count early on, but I wonder now if I should begin to be more concerned by the choices. I eat alot of protein from protein bars and drinks so that is the source of most of my calories.

1) Eaten chips? Yes, with no problems
2) Tried soda? No, I refuse to drink diet, so I am afraid I will not dump and be screwed with an old demon.
3) Tried something with sugar? Can drink sweet tea with no problem, but tried a fingernail size bite of tiramasu and damn near died. Never again on sweets...just my tea.
4) Eaten Popcorn? yes, no problem
5) Chewed Gum? frequently...never swallow it.
6) Skipped a meal? yes, can't get on a schedule for the every four hour thing. Carry proteiin bars for when I'm out and need to eat something.
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? not a whole week, but close.
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? Last night I had pasta & hominy for supper. Didn't lose weight. Won't do it again!
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? Yes, first time got plastered on half a drink. Next time didn't even feel two drinks. Not worth the calories!!!
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, I share with my husband or grandkids and it works out great.

1) Eaten chips? Yup.
2) Tried soda? Drink it all the time. It was the only thing that would make me burp for the first few weeks.
3) Tried something with sugar? Chocolate, Tiramisu, Ice cream and candy. Usually when i haven't eaten for a while and need to get my blood sugar back up quickly. Except for the Tiramisu, that was at a friends Bday.
4) Eaten Popcorn? Nibble on it at the movies sometimes.
5) Chewed Gum? All the time.
6) Skipped a meal? On occasion when my tummy is feeling bad.
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? What is excersize?
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? Again, when my tummy is being touchy.
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? Yup. But no more than one at a time.
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Almost all the time.
I guess I've been pretty bad but still loosing weight. Go figure.

Happy 3 month anniversary to the December babies...
1) Eaten chips? Yes, I've chewed a couple of Tortilla chips at Mexican restaurant.
2) Tried soda? No, desire
3) Tried something with sugar? Yes, a girl scout cookie at work the other day. I had my first dumping episode. I was sick and was foaming at the mouth.
4) Eaten Popcorn? Guilty, I ate a whole small bag of popcorn at the movies with butter. I didn't realize I had eaten it all until my son asked for some.
5) Chewed Gum? Yes and swallowed. I didn't think about it.
6) Skipped a meal? Yeah, but I forced down a protein shake.
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? Not yet.
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? Yes, I'm removing wheat thins and Bagel chips from my house. I can eat them by the handfuls with no problem. I'm amazed at how well they go down. I know I had the surgery but sometimes I can consume massive quantities without feeling full.
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? No
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, I went to Noodles yesterday. I explain that I will need a takeout bowl right away. She gave me shrimp and chicken with my pasta at no charge. I have enough leftover for 3 meals. I find restaurant eating to be a treat but I eat a few bites and then I'm done. I've noticed that once I mention having the surgery people are very helpful. It's better than having them hover over me asking me what's wrong.
