hey sherry! i am glad you love it, hopefully i will too! i think i figured out my glitch.. it didnt have a place to put sugar so i just put it under where it said alcohol (thinking it meant sugar alcohol) but when i did that each time it messed things up and when i left it out it let me put it in right so i guess it just does not caculate sugar or something. i wanted to ask you what i asked someone else on the CA board too, do you mainly use custom foods or do you use the other types? or both? also do you measure everything you eat or do you guesstimate? if you do guesstimate do you feel it is working? i live in a dorm and eat in a cafeteria so i cant really measure everything.. some times i can like when i dont eat at the cafeteria, but for the most part i am left guessing and comparing things to what i learned in my nutrition classes before surgery (1 oz =size of 8v battery etc). i am wondering if this will defeat the purpose of the fitday or if it will still work for the most part in being accurate for me. thanks!

That happened to me 2 days ago, I was trying to put in SF choc syrup and it wouldnt let me. I was told to keep the calories under 800 a day.

1) Eaten chips? Baked Lays/every kind but it dosent sit well
2) Tried soda? Yes, dosent sit well either
3) Tried something with sugar? Yesterday I got Passion tea from Starbucks with SF vanilla syrup, it was soooo good-then I found out it had 16 grams of sugar in it! But I was ok, I am still to scared. I dump from oils and grease so I dont want to do it again on purpose
4) Eaten Popcorn? Oh YES
5) Chewed Gum? No
6) Skipped a meal? Usually breakfast
7) Not exercized for a whole week straight? Yes
8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? I usually always have some type of protein when eating; shakes are a different story-they are hard to get down.
9) Had an alcoholic beverage? Yes, felt REALLY GOOD!!!!!
10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, took leftovers home or gave them away.

I use fitday.com every day and I haven't had the problem you are talking about. When I add a new food, I click "go" next to "New Custom Food". I put in the food name and in the serving size fields I put "1" "Serving". Then I put in all the information. It's never kicked anything out before. Maybe their is a glitch in the system today? I am three months out, too and the doctor told me between 1000 - 1200 calories. I am sometimes less and sometimes a little more depending on my choices for the day. Best wishes! I love the relief I feel when I log on and see that all of you are dealing with the exact same things as me! I've stalled the week before my period the previous two months, but then it appears I'm in a stall a week early this time... that scale just won't move. I'm like the others and exercise religiously, etc. I have noticed that my pants are still getting bigger even though the scale isn't moving, so I'm hoping I'm swapping muscle for fat and as we've been told our whole lives, muscle weighs more than fat. LOL. I'm 11 weeks out and down 54 lbs. Glad to know I'm not alone, keep your chin up!

I am having problems with vomitting. I don't seem to able to make that transistion to regular food. I eat Yoplait light yogurt for both breakfast and lunch (afraid I might have to vomit at work). I try to eat a decent supper but I have trouble eating anything of substance. So I stick with pureed food or yogurt and sugar free Jello pudding.

2) Tried soda? Have maybe had two cans of Diet Pepsi which used to be my passion. I let it go flat and drink it over an hour. A special treat although it doesn't taste like it used to.

4) Eaten Popcorn? Scardey cat again..although seeing that others can tolerate it might make me try a few

8) Eaten your carbs and no protein for a meal? For a snack..try to eat prtein as much as pouch will tolerate.don't want to loose any hair.

10) Eaten out at a restaurant? Yes, but ordered soup.
It feels good to come clean and fess up! LOL! I still feel like I am doing a good job. Have lost 45 pounds at 3 months, feel healthy, still have all my hair, and lots of energy.
i go back to Dr for my 3 month check up tomorrow.
