Topic: RE: fill what???
It is when the surgeon uses a needle to put saline in an adjustable gastric band through a port located just below the skin. This has nothing to do with an RNY surgery. I have had two fills and would be just about ready for my third, but work won't let me off, we are way too busy these days.
Funny, but I never thought you RNY folks would have the same "food sticking" trouble as a bandster. My problem with food sticking is getting better. I think I am just getting used to eating smaller bites, chewing longer. A lady in my support group says that we should be eating bites the size of a baby spoon or fork. When I eat like that, I don't have much trouble with food sticking, unless it's dry food.

Having more than 1 source of encouragement is helpful. Take your measurements everywhere once a month. Have someone take front, back and side photos of you once a month. Sometimes those will show more change than the scales. Hang in there - it's happening whether you see it on the scales or not.

Ebony,
We all feel your frustration. I've lost very few pounds this past month.
Just continue to follow the basics and your time will come. Plateaus are pretty rough.
Good Luck on your studies.
Cookies and Cream Protein shakes? Where did you find them?

Topic: RE: shoe size changes?
Well, I stepped out of my new dress shoes today on the way to church.
Does that count? Last year I couldn't wear most of my shoes and refused to buy bigger ones. I spent the summer in flip flops because my feet where so swollen. Now, I can get back into some of my hardly worn shoes. Even some of my heels...this is way

Congratulations on the weight loss.
I want to see a picture of you in your new outfit before it gets too big.
Take care and work that tool,

Tiffany,
I know it's frustrating...your body is adjusting for the next weight loss phase. I can say that because I was in the same situation 10 days ago and I've dropped 5lbs since then. Just say to yourself, "...I'm doing the right things and it will come off with time." Do that a couple hundred times and it will come true.
Oh, check your total inches lost...

p.s. When I hit my next plateau...remind me of this post.

Jennifer -- you might not want to hear this but WOW, congrats on the 42 pounds so far! That's just so awsome.
Stalling sucks and feeling like you're not losing enough is probably natural (my guess is we've all done it already?) but my guess is you're gaining some muscle weight as well as losing fat weight so that could be one reason the scale's not moving. (I can't make the same argument for me, I haven't been exercising yet -- back problems) Anyhow, most importantly, I hope you FEEL healthier and happier without respect to what the scale says. Hang in there!
