I reached the 100's this week! I weighed 199 this morning. It's been years since I've seen a 1 in the beginning of my weight. Thank you God for this awesome tool! Sherry 259 / 199

Well, I had my endoscopy today and I have an ulcer. I was given a prescription for Carafate. I'm on my way to have it filled. I'm not excited to have an ulcer, but I am kind of relieved that we have an answer to this pain and ick I have been having for at least two months now.

I know how you feel with the throwing up! I've had some real problems with it too. Mine is because of allergies though. I know it sounds strange, but because I have drainage from my sinuses, it causes alot of problems with my food getting caught in all the phlem/flem (sp?). Fun times!!! I feel your pain! Keep your spirits up!

We kept posting on the Disney Post and I thought maybe we should start a new one since we were getting so far away from Disney World. We have a support group and you remember I wasn't going. I did go but no one is bringing clothes. I did bring a lot of my old patterns some never used that were 26 - 32 as large as they come. I still don't know if any one took any of them. I collect patterns the way some people breath. I still have a lot left. I don't sew for any one any more because of my bones. I am too slow now. And if I am having a bad day/week I don't have to worry about a dead line. There is only the Salvation Army and Goodwill on the island. There is never any thing good there because you darn near have to be at the back door to get it. I have really never seen any plus any thing in there. I know I am not big bone but I still can't figure out why I am not in 18/16s like so many of YALL. I am 5' 6 1/2" with mostly long legs Thats something else I used to buy my clothes off season, So it is hard to shop now. I am programed to buy a sweater in the middle of July and shorts for Christmas

I've lost 90.5 pounds!!!!! Yay! Wooohoooo.... Ok, now that I've got that out of my system. My surgeon does want to do an EGD....Booo! Hiss.... LOL, What can I say, I feel giddy. Now, I only have to lose 94 more to reach the goal The Dr. has set for me. I hope everyone is having as good a day as me. I know don't post alot but you guys have pulled me through some pretty bad days. Thanks!

1. What are your stats? 262/210/160 2. What is your favorite food(s) now? this isn't a food, but i love WATER sooo much more now! I crave it! But as for foods, I still like shrimp like I use to 3. Any ups and downs you would like to share? Plateaus for 3 weeks at a time, and after they ended, I would drop 5-6lbs in just a few days time! 4. Anything else you would like to share.... I can no longer eat chicken. I don't dump, but chicken makes me feel like I am eating rotten meat or something. I can eat anything else though. ONLY 50lbs to goal! I love this tool! Have a great day!

Take heart my dear Wendy - I had lapband on 12/29/05 and have lost 25 pounds as well. We aren't supposed to lose as fast as those RNY folks! Inches are a bigger thing for me though. And, I don't think I will have to worry about a lot of loose skin. I think the slower loss is giving my skin time to "bounce back". I know it's frustrating when we can "taste" thinness but we'll get there! It took me 25 years to get to 217 pounds, I can't expect to get back to 135 in 3 months. Hang in there!!! Congrats on your loss! 80 lbs. is nothing to sneeze at. I had my surgery just a couple of days after you and have been stuck at 62 lbs. for awhile. I had a stricture in January and had two scope procedures about a month apart to fix it. I was on clear liquids for that month and lost nothing! When I talked to the NP about it, I was convinced that I had gone into starvation mode and the body was refusing to let any more weight go until I fed it more than jello and broth. Once I did start to eat again, the stall broke and I started losing again. Make sure you don't get dehydrated, and be sure to call your Dr. about so much vomiting. If it is a stricture it won't get better by itself. By the time I actually got the endoscopy done, I couldn't keep even water in.

Pretty, We've already talked about how hard it is to give up on the too big clothes. I can't sew a lick and find myself needing the basics. My support group members have been wonderful with sharing work-clothes. If any one needs 22/24's...I have a lot of clothes that have never been worn. I never saw a size 20W. My 18Ws are getting big and I'm purchasing 16Ws. I will never be comfortable with tightly fitted clothes. Do they button? Yes. Can you do a squat and not have a wardrobe malfunction? Yeah, sorta. Can you bend without passing out? Maybe. For those that are shopping, Sears has Spring clearance items as low as $1.99 (you should see my cute pair of 16W gauchos). Unfortunately, summer clothes are still full-price. I'm going to the Resale shops this weekend. Do they sell plus-sized clothes? Chauncine
