Topic: OH BMI and goal weight predictor
Hi All! I just discovered Obesity Help's BMI and goal weight results charts. I think it is so cool. You put in your starting weight, height and it predicts how much you will lose each month. I found out that I am not loosing slow, I am right on schedule. You can look at it and see what you will probably weigh in a few months. I wish I could include the link to it, but it wont let me. Put BMI in the search window and find it that way. Sunny

Topic: onderland and thrush along with it.
Hi all,
Well I'm 4 months out today and I'm in onederland never thought I'd see it. I actually hit it 3 days ago, but I felt like it couldn't possibly be true so I waited for a few days and weighed today and now I know for sure. I've lost 61 pounds since surgery. I've had a sinus, and ear infection for over a week and am taking antibotics. It is so painful to eat, not in my throat but the back of the roof of my mouth and my tongue, so I saw my MD again today and I have Thrush. Never have had it before, he thinks its a combo of the antibotics and my nutritional intake. So now I'm having to suck on a losenge 5 times a day for 14 days, and off antibotics. I definately need to up my protein, because it hurts so bad I've only had water today. The meds are supposed to work quick though. Only other problem I've had is nausea from sinus drainage. Hope this crap is gone soon.

Topic: RE: My NEW addiction!
I LOVE my Knifty Knitters! They are really fun and fast, and if you need instant crafty gratification, they fit the bill! I still love my old, slow by hand knitting and crocheting too though. I really want an electric knitting machine, maybe when I'm done with school I'll treat myself to one.
I was actually just realizing today as I finished embroidering (redwork) the hem of my daughter's Easter dress that I get the same drug like feeling of satisfaction out of making something now that I used to get from food as a pre-op. It's even better than food, the results last forever it's actually good for my emotional health. I drool over my quilting magazines and Joann's flyers now instead of cookbooks....so great!
Congrats on the new hobby!

Yaaaaaaaaaaay Miriam. That's sooooo cool! Congratulations to you.
You're right, the support here is wonderful. It's neat to get to talk to people who are going through the stages of this journey at the same time.
Have fun shopping and celebrating!
