HI Kim
We buried Gina in Pearland. Which is really now Houston. Cullen Blvd. when I was growing up was "OLD Chocolate Bayou Road" I remember we would drive out there and they called it the FM "Farm to Market Road."
Back then there was nothing but a little creek to fish and berrys every where. Now it seem it is all cemetaries pass Tom Bass Park.
Reginia Collins is at Houston Memorial Gardens 1600 Cullen Blvd.
Thanks for letting me talk. When I saw Pearland I knew you would know where she is.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister, Gina. You have my deepest sympathy.
Topic: RE: Hey Everyone! Give us a report on your progress!
Hello all.
I had my surgery on December 19, 2005. I'm 5'6 and I started off at 260 lbs and am now down to 199 lbs. I exercise regularly. In February, I went to the gym a total of 7 times and lost 12 lbs. I went twice a day, 4 days a week in March and lost 14 lbs. All that extra work and it only made a 2 pound difference. lol Guess I'm really building up those muscles.
This month, I go to the gym 3 times a week and I do 40 minutes on the ellyptical then I work out my legs on the weight machines. I work in a clinic so I also do a lot of walking at work.
I can fit a size 12 pants and large shirt comfortably. It really feels good not to have an "X" in your size.

Topic: RE: OH BMI and goal weight predictor
Thanks, Sunny. I found it a few months ago but I couldn't remember where. It's on the home page under "Resources for Post-Op Members." You have to click on "Post-Op planner." I want to lose 75%, putting me at 170 lbs, and according to the planner, I'm ahead by 3 months. Woo-hooooo!! I'm actually on schedule if I want to lose 95% but I can't see myself weighing 142 lbs. That is too boney for me.

Topic: RE: 4 month update
Fabulous! I am happy with 73, my daughter is 4 months post op and has lost about 113LBS!!! How she continues to cook for her partner and the 2 kids is amazing to me. I do very little cooking... if my husband does not want to eat my usual chicken, refried beans and salsa, lean ham or eggs, he has to cook for himself. I figure I did it for 27 yrs, so that's ok. Sometimes I fix him something, but not often. How has your family adjusted?

Petty,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know there is nothing really a person can say when some one goes through something like this. But, please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Some of you that are used to seeing me constantly on here may have missed me this week.
We buried my sister today. She had been ill and suffering for a long time now. I am tired and sad and empty. When I made it home I just sat on the porch for the longest before I could go inside the house. No matter how much you think you are prepared are ready for death, you aren't.
When I left the cemetary I realized this was our last goodbye. But we have so many memories that we will go on forever.
Thanks
PK
