Except for an occasional homemade Wine Cooler or Frozen Margarita, I have stayed strictly on my diet. I do have that same thing as you about going in the kitchen and deciding it isn't worth the trouble to make something so samll to eat. We had one of the surgeons at our Support Group Monday night and he was very adamant about staying on a schedule to teach your body your new eating habits, so I am trying not to skip, even when it is a pain to make some little thing or the other. My surgery was 12-13-05 and I weighed 489.5 As of 03-13-06 (3 months) I weighed 389.5 For a total of 100lbs. I go tomorrow for my 4 month and a week check up with the surgeon and will report a new number for this month. My surgeon said stay off the scale. Just weigh once a month on the same day. Works for me. I don't want to be grinding over a pound up and a pound down. Happiness... MKJ

I think there is an adjustment period for us.. The feeling we feel are very valid. Ive lost 71.5 lbs and I can't see it in the mirror but people tell me all the time now that I look so thin. I can't see it so I take their word for it. The Skin Issues, I have a ton of extra skin, and I would happily give it to burn patients but they can't use it because I stretched it all out. So I don't look at it in a negative way anymore. It is a reminder of what I did the first time around and what I refuse to do during my 2nd chance. I will get it removed one day if the Ins wont pay for it I will find a Dr with a layaway plan, Maybe Walmart will go into the plastics business who knows.. But I am So proud of my Sagging skin it means Im losing and my health is improving.. So grab your bat wings Hip handles, stomach Apron and boobs and lift yourself up... It will only get better if you let it.. And good lord Im gonna let it get better for me.. We are all doing so great.. (((HUGS))) Dori

For me it's graham crackers - they seem to go down when nothing else will. I usually have some cheese or protein pudding with them but I notice they go down way too easy so I try not to have them in the house. It's the carb I am the worse with. I can not have peanut butter so find myself eating more cheese sticks. I still drink Isopure because it gives me the protein to start my day with as I am not a breakfast person. It seems everything I like for breakfast is carbs so better for me not to have it. By 9 am I am ready for a snack and usually have cheddar cheese with a couple triscuits - I love the new ones that are herb flavored plus they have fiber in them! But one or two is just fine for me. At lunch I try to eat a taco or something that is left over but find that leftovers don't work as well these days. I'm not sure why though. I can cook up a steak and eat some of it one night and then the next day heat some up and it just doesn't sit right. Anyone else having that problem? Diona

have you tried the PB on a Apple Cinnamon rice cake...it is absolutely delicious and probably a lot more filling than saltines! Amanda

I too am a peanut butter fan. I do about a tablespoon a day with a very small banana. this is my morning meal. almost every day. I have lost almost 80 pounds doing this every day. I am a big mexican food fan. now i just eat the insides and not the shell. I have eaten a few wheat thins and my nutritionist said a few is ok. I try to stay away from all bad carbs. i do have to make myself eat every 3 hours. my nutrit. wants me to eat every 2 but i have a hard time doing that. especially working. so I do the best I can. I have a hard time getting the liquid in. if you have any ideas let me know.

I have always been a big cook. I am trying hard not to cook large amounts. I have cut down but still a lot of food is getting wasted. I stopped giving it to my 3 legged dog before he needed WLS. Now I am cooking less often because I feel guilty about tossing food out. I don't feel guilty about not eating it. Too many people need food for me to be throwing it away. My worst problem was going too long with out eating. I now try to make my self eat on a schedule whether I want to eat or not. The easiest thing for me to eat when I don't want to, is peanut butter on crackers. I know the peanut butter has protein. I eat 4 saltine crackers and less than 2 teaspoons of peanut butter on all of the crackers. I do this about 4 times a week. I think this is better than for me to get back into my old habit of skipping meals. I just don't know if eating crackers that often is a good idea. I sure don't want to start eating the peanut butter off a spoon. I would be back in the jar.

Oh lets talk about my stall. If I could get my hands around its neck. My highest weight was 315. Or as every one knows I wouldnt get on the scale any more after I saw that 315. That was long before my surgery. So I hit 218. Man I am almost to 215! Can't wait to post I have lost that first 100lbs. Well. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. Looks like I'll be waiting. I ain't mad. Just tired of waiting. I wanted to make that post last week and here we are headed to next week and I'm still waiting. 218 sure looks better than 315
