Mine is falling out by the handfulls, too. I watched my son play baseball this Saturday and my scalp got burned because of how much thinner it is. Ouch! I sure hope it grows back like everyone says it does. Sherry

That sounds good. Thanks for sharing. I really don't have any favorite recipes right now, but I am enjoying watermelon so much right now. I can eat more of it than most foods and I think my body enjoys the water. Sherry

Topic: RE: How much can you eat?
It really depends on what I am eating. The last time I was at the doctors I was told I was eating way too much soft foods. I had to start eating denser foods. I am not a meat lover and wasn't eating enough of it. I never have but I think I could eat a whole cup of cottage cheese. But only about 1oz of chicken or other meat. It seems if I take a couple of well chewed bites of meat I am finished. I do get hungry sometimes after I have eaten. Thats when I start with the ice tea. I keep sipping on that so I will not eat or snack. I will eat a lot of soup (soft food) so I had to stop that. That was too many claories going through me. Remember you need to drink at least 64oz every day. So people do so much more. If I get 64oz in I think I have done good. The more I drink the less I eat.

I think you're fine. I've discovered that some things I can eat more of, and other things I can eat less of. I just try to follow the rules and stop when I'm full. You're doing great so far, so I wouldn't worry. Sherry

Hi and welcome. 83lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Thats great! And don't make it your last time posting. We have the same date, so I guess we are twins. Plus I have a set of twins. They are 35 now so they aren't babies. I have lost 65 lbs since surgery and read my post for today I have lost 101 since starting to retake my life back.

I don't have any doctors appointments. When I went over there April 12, I was 221.9. Then I dropped to 218. I was so excited. Just 3 more pounds before I would have a total lost of 100lbs. How you say, I waited and waited and waited! This has to be a famous stall! So this pass Thursday thru Sunday there were a lot of people at my house for the annual Galveston Beach Party. So all those days I ate way more than I normally do. I have not had a weight gain since my surgery. I wasn't going to worry about it. I got on the scale this morining and it said 214!!!! I couldn't believe it! I even turned the scale so I could see it better with my BLIND aice! Now I am wondering have I been eating enough?? I know they say your body will go in a starve mood if it is not getting enough to eat. Maybe I just think I ate more. Oh H##LLL naw I KNOW I ate more. I had bar b que slow smoked meats with a drop of sauce on it. I had my other sisters Paulas famous bar b qued baked beans full of bacon and hamburger meat, my potato salad and my home made sweet potato pie with my home made crust. I didn't have enough of the pie to dump. A new born would have been pissed with that small of a bite. Don't understand it? I do know I also dranked way more than my 64oz. because it was TEXAS HUMID! I just hope I don't see a weight gain tomorrow. Maybe I dropped because I was so busy these days entertaining and cooking and cleaning. UGH! Just had to ruin it didn't I? The cleaning,,,,,everything else was fine.

I can relate. I noticed my hair falling out about three weeks ago. I have always had long hair, down to my waist. So when I started to see all that hair in my brush, I kind of freaked out. I could pull handfuls out and I won't even mention all the hair at the bottom of the shower. Three days ago I decided to cut it off. I was getting more freaked out everytime I brushed my hair. So I braided my hair and went to a salon and said, "Cut it all off". The girl who cut it kept asking me if I was "okay". She was all excited because I let her cut and style it the way she wanted. She said that never happens! My braid that was cut was 11 inches long and my hair is still past my shoulders. My hair has layers and I just love it! It is so much lighter and I don't notice all the hair I am losing. I have gotten so many compliments from people and they tell me how different I look. I decided to donate my braid to Locks of Love. This was one of the best decisions I've made, second only to getting GBP surgery.

I understand the hair loss issue. My hair was VERY thin to begin with and now it is worse. I actually have a bald spot on top. After trying to hide the thin spots I broke down and bought a wig. Best thing I have ever done!! I have so many positive comments on how good I look and people never guess it's a wig. My face looks thinner and I feel better about myself. I understand that the hair loss will end and the hair will grow back anywhere from 8-10 mths out and that no amount of supplements or hair products will help in the meanwhile. I've also heard that when the hair does come back it might have a different texture to it. Well even if mine comes back I think I will keep wearing my wig. My "hair" hasn't look so good in 20 years. Good luck, Nee P
