Topic: Swimsuit WOW
I have 3 swimsuits. I live on the island ok. One is a 44, a 3X and a 22. I knew they would be too big. I decided I would try them on to see if I could take them in any where. I knew I had lost weight. People step into their old pants and hold them up. I stepped into my swimsuits. You will never get a picture of that. I am telling you right now. Two are swim dresses with the bottom attached to them. Well my bottoms looked like a dirty diaper down to my knees!!!!! I couldn't believe my butt used to fill this out and now its around my knees. I had to laugh at my own self. And no I will not try to take these up in case any one needs swimsuits in these sizes I will mail them to you. I could just picture these suits filling up with water and I loose them. Galveston does not have nude beaches! And I don't want to go to jail.
Topic: RE: Calories? and what about Heavy Weights?
Keri from 400 to nearly 300 in how long???????? What ya wanna do vanish off the face of the earth????? Thats great! As every one always ask on here when was the last time you lost nearly a 100lbs in such short time. Or ever?
I have never been a calorie counter. I am cooking better. That is when I cook. I love cooking but I hate it now because I am wasting so much food. I do potion my food out. Using smaller plates and bowls. I seldom eat a cup of anything unless its soup or something like that. I stay away from soft foods/soups as much as possible. You can eat more so I know thats more calories. If I think I can eat more than what I put on my plate I don't do it. I just wait and start with the water and ice tea again. If I ever make that first trip back for seconds I'm doomed. I found when I broke my meals down to 6 or 7 a day counting the snacks I lost better than trying to eat 3 with no snacks. I count a snack as a meal. Thats how I get to 6 or 7 a day. The amounts didn't increase just broke down those 3 into 6

Keri,
I don't count calories. I might have to start because I want to lose more but so far, I haven't. I feel like I should just try and listen to my body and eat like normal people do. I am so sick of diets!

Topic: RE: Weight stand still
Hi Lisa,
I just came out of a "plateau". A 3 week one. I agree with Sherry that we have to exercise and I know that I didn't do as much exercising had I had done the first 3-4 months. Once I started do more activity the weight started coming off. Good luck to you!

Do you count calories? If so how many are you averaging a day? Also it was my understanding that Heavy weights (people with more than x amount to lose) would lose faster I was almost four hundred and have gone down to 306 is this slow? I know EVERYONE thinks that they are slow I just imagined that it would go quicker. Maybe more exercize huh? Thank you in advance for any reply!

Hi, Lisa. You didn't mention whether or not you are exercising. During my third month out, I wasn't exericising and my weight loss was very slow. Since then, I've been walking 5 days a week and it is very steady. Since you are getting closer to goal, you might have to increase your activity to see the same weight loss results. Best wishes to you and congratulations on your weight loss thus far!

Topic: Weight stand still
Hi everyone,
I am just about 5 months out...had surgery on 12/5/05 and up until about 3 1/2 weeks ago I was losing. I had lost a total of 70lbs...now since April 8th...the scale hasnt budged a lb... I havent changed anything in the past few months...still lots of protein...lots of water, etc..but no weight loss....I will be the same weight all week...
My question is this...is this normal to have a "stand still" or plateau for almost a month so soon out???
I was reallly hoping that by June ( my wedding anniversary) that I would be near goal...which is still about 35 more pounds... We are in May now and I havent budged an ounce...Any suggestions????
Thanks December Losers
Hugs from rainy southern Cali
