Topic: RE: Swimsuit WOW
I just got a GREAT swimsuit at Gordmans. It was pretty reasonable too!! It's made by SHORE SHAPES. It looks as great as a swim suit can look on someone who has a lot of saggy skin.
Best wishes and thanks for the giggle~

I have not had any symptoms like this but I don't think you should ignore them. See your doctor ASAP.

Yolanda,
Can you have someone check your blood sugars the next time this happens? Does it happen right after exercise? It sounds like a low blood sugar reaction. Either way, check with your doctor or nurse.
I just started losing weight and am freezing again. Having a bald head doesn't help.

Topic: RE: Weight stand still
Lisa,
We are on the same page, I have just come out of a 3 week stall. This morning the scale moved down 6lbs. Someone mentioned exercise...I have been an exercise fanatic in preparation for last week's vacation. I walked many, miles before, during and after with my weight actually going up a couple pounds. I recently read some posts from the big losers in our group and decided to go back to the basics. I have up'd my protein and watched my portions. I've noticed that I've started grazing when I'm bored. Since, I'm only averaging about 10lbs a month this stall has put me off schedule.
Stay encouraged and positive.

p.s. 2lbs may have been from hair. I had to get it shaved off due to all of the breakage/hair loss.

Topic: RE: Percent of Loss to date????
The thing with numbers is you can frame them to look however you want.
For example I have lost 83 pounds, but I am also only 5'3". That same amount on 5 ft or 5"10 would be a huge difference. Also, I have gone from size 32 pants to 22. I have lost 48.2% of the weight I need to take off. To me, looking at still 51.2% of my weight to lose does not look the same as looking at 88 more lbs, or losing 5 more sizes. Numbers have been such a head game for me for so many years, that I just keep doing what I am supposed to do eating right, vitamins and calcium and water and exercising. I do not have beginning measurements or a picture at top weight, although I did recently find one last Sept at Disney World that was probably within 12 lbs of my top wt. and looking at it is really an eye-opener.
Going from SUPER OBESE PAST EXTREMELY OBESE INTO "OBESE" Now that was something to celebrate for me anyway!!!
For me the most positive numbers are how long I have done well, and done my exercise. That number is 99%, now that is something to strive to continue!
Topic: Have you ever felt like this?
It started earlier this week. Not sure if I should be concerned or if it is just a passing pharse.
I start to feel very cold. It feels like a very cold wind has blown through my body and maybe 5 minutes later I get very jittery and nervous. I feel my whole body shaking from the inside out. I HATE this feeling. At first I thought that my blood sugar was too low but this has happened to me two times not even an hour after eating a meal (example- I had 2 eggs and a piece of whole wheat toast. Before that I had 16 oz of ff milk with AnyWhey protein powder. I was not hungry!) When this happens to me I eat ritz crackers with peanut butter and sip a small amount of apple juice. I start to feel the symptoms go away after 15 to 20 minutes but I still I not feel like me for at least an hour. What is wrong with me!?
HELP!
75 lbs down since 12/05 rny

Topic: RE: Back Pains...
I am right there with you. My severe back pain had sort of subsided when I first started losing, but now it is back with a vengence. I think a lot of it is the lack of ab muscle to support my back so I am working on that. I hope it works. Best of luck to you I know back pain is miserable!

Kim,
A new friend is just what I need. I had surgery on December 27th. My surgery date weight was 354lbs. Currently I am at 258, my goal is 180. So, I still have a little ways yet to go. Email me anytime.

Jessie,
I am having the back pains as well. I have been to my family doctor about it twice. He too seems to think alot of it is because of the weight loss. I am hoping that when I start my physical therapy it will all go away.
