Laura, I am not sure what you mean...is it a particular kind of video? Or just ordering commercial videos? If I want to buy a video or DVD of a movie, I usually go to amazon.com. If I want to rent, I go to netflix.com. Diana

Congratulations! Isn't it wonderful? I'm waiting to go under 200=and when I do-I'm getting my nails done. I've never done that before. As of today, I have 3 more pounds to get there.

Topic: wow story for me
This morning while I was at walmart, I decided to get an outfit. I figured their clothes are cheap so why not. I wanted to get something that would fit me for awhile. When I had surgery, I wore a size 34 in both tops and pants and sometimes the pants would be tight. So I got a size 18/20 shirt and 26/28 pants. I did not try them on in the store ( I know I really should). While I was there, there was a pair of petite 22/24 pants on sale for $7.00 so I thought why not, I will eventually wear them. Fast forward to when I got home. I tried on the outfit and it fit fine. I was a little surprised, but it looked good. Then I thought, I would try on the 22/24's just to see how tight they were. So I got them up over my thighs, I was able to zip them and I could even sit in them. OMG. I think they are a little tight, soon they will be just right. I can not believe it. Hope you are all well. Take care Erin

Topic: RE: Doing great - just checking in after surgery 5 months ago!
Hey Diona: Sorry it took me so long to write back. Yes, the exercise makes me hungry for sure! Ravished sometimes! But, first of all, I am exercising so much that I HAVE TO eat more, #2 - I try to eat things that are complex carbs, not simple carbs, # 3 - I drink LOTS of water which fills me up. One of the things that I was concerned about in doing this training was the fact that I was going to have to eat alot of carbs. I was kind of freaking about that. but I spoke with my dietician and she assured me that I am working out so much that I am burning them right back off. And I feel that this is true. Once this intensive training and marathon is over, I will be adjsuting me eating and then I will let you know how it goes. I don't think it's going to be a problem, however. I am really into working out. Five miles at a time is AWESOME! I will keep on walking/jogging after the marathon. Before my surgery, I was swimming one hour 4-5 days per week. Now, I take a yoga class once a week, I walk, I do nautilus. As much as I love swimming, I like the variety. Do you do any other type of exercise?

I understand it happening when you get close to your goal weight, but I still have 100lbs to go.. I have loss just about 100lb. but I will stay positive, and keep doing all the right things... thanks for your support, it means so much. Lynn

Sharon, I am praying for your healing that everything will work out for you. I am also praying for your family that they will get understanding and patience while you fight this battle. Remember, that this too shall pass. I have never had to go through any foot problems but regardless I feel your pain. Others have given you great advice on how to do what you can at home to take the pain away. As far as the sweets, I DON'T DUMP either and find myself snacking time to time on the wrong foods. I have this new love for jelly beans and find myself eating them from time to time. What helps me stay on track is looking in the mirror at the new me and looking at old pictures where I weighed 338 pounds. I know that I don't want to get back to there so I put the jelly beans away and all the other sweets. You have come a long way and I know that there are bigger and better things in store for you in the future. Keep thinking positive and everything will work out for your good.... JaNae 338/245/175

Hi, Sharon. I used to suffer with plantar fascitis. It is very painful and takes a while to heal. It is quite disabling. When mine was at its worst, I would freeze a water bottle and roll my foot on it. It ices it and stretches that tendon at the same time. Of course it would still hurt after icing it, but is sure feels good during. When I first had surgery, I tried to walk but was unable to due to this problem. I resorted to riding my exercise bike because it didn't put any stress on my foot. Also, summer is upon us, so maybe you could do water aerobics at the YMCA? Just some suggestions! I hope you are feeling better soon and best wishes. Sherry 259/184/130
