Thank you for the info, I will check but this appears you must get lots of 40 vials the local 25 is over $250. I got my shot and some pills and hope that will work.

Wow, Erin, you are doing great, and congratulations on coming out of your shell! I'm "only" down 80 pounds since surgery, but I am down 100 from last May when I graduated from college at age 54. I can still remember what it felt like climbing up those steps and walking across the stage in my gigantic academic gown. I feel SO much better now. My energy level is a bit low, and B12 pills haven't helped that much. Still working on that issue. I wanted to mention to you that my knees are an issue too -- had total left knee replacement two months before my gastric bypass. I find that exercise helps a lot. I never was one to exercise. Heck, I wasn't able to. But now if I sit around too much, everything stiffens up and I can barely walk. When the treadmill is too much for me, I use the Nu-Step, which is a sit-down stepper, taking the burden off my feet and knees but still exercising the muscles. I go to the fitness center at my local hospital, where everyone is exercising for health reasons. No fancy exercise wear or steroid bodies there! If you can manage to exercise and do it away from home, you'll meet new people in the bargain.

Topic: RE: do you drink soda?
I would just add this caution-- My nut said that if your tea or soda has caffeine in it, it causes you to pass more liquid OUT than you took IN (a dehydrating effect). Then you need to take in a bit of extra non-caffeine fluid to get to your daily goal. I notice that if I am not getting enough fluids, I get constipated. Also, if it's really hot, I need to drink more than usual. JoAnne

Thanks Judy, I'll look into that thread contouring..maybe I can find a few things about it on the NET. Hey, you are looking great! Funny how these pictures don't show the neck thingie, huh? Have you ever noticed when you're talking to someone, they keep looking at it????? I do. I get so consious about it, I forget what the converstation is about and leave.. I wonder, and I'll ask my surgeon about it, how long do I have to wait to be concidered for something to be done, or is that up to me?

I looked on ebay. You can get injectible b1 and b12 on there. Here is a link to an auction for B1. http://cgi.ebay.com/80-ml-Vitamin-B1-100-mg-ml-40-vials-of-2ml-vial_W0QQitemZ9529078543QQi hZ007QQcategoryZ11776QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Hope this helps. I had my blood drawn Thursday, and I am anxious to get the results to see if everything is as it should be.

Hi Janet, I can't believe how wrinkled my neck has become. I knew my facial wrinkles would look worse, but just didn't expect the neck to look so bad. You might want to check with a plastic surgeon about something called "thread contouring," which is much less invasive than a face lift and apparently quite effective. I think when I have lost the rest of my weight and stabilized for a few months, I may consider that option for my neck. At nearly 60, I guess I'm entitled to a few wrinkles, but that doesn't mean I have to like them! Be good to yourself. Judy

Hi Erin, My 6-month anniversary will be on the 28th and I've lost a total of about 140 pounds -- but 30 was before surgery. My biggest change is the same as yours -- being more outgoing and a bit more confident. Fitting behind the steering wheel is pretty cool too HAHAHA Seriously though, I'm definitely not feeling like all I want is to blend in anymore and it's a really good feeling. Plus, my dates the last couple of nights -- something I didn't really have before -- have been nice.

I go for my 6 month this coming week. I think I will wait until then and give a full account. I have noticed this week all of my hair isn't coming out in the comb. I sure hope that is all over and never ever happens again. I think I have read people slack on their viatiams and the hair starts coming out again. Any one else heard of this???
