Topic: Pictures are up
Hi all, Had my 6 month appointment Last Friday. I am down 75 pounds now. The dieticians office sent me my before and 6 month pics, so I posted them for all to see. I am shocked how much I've changed, especially in the face. Chubby cheeks run in my family. I was also measured and am down 9 inches in the chest, and 13 inches in both my waist and hips. Now all I have to do is get my avatar up. Sarah

WOW! You have really lost a lot of weight. I started at about the same weight as you. One of my biggest rewards is to fit in an airline seat. I don't travel much---maybe about twice a year, and I've always hated the seat belt. I'm looking forward to this very same WOW moment come this fall when I go to Branson, MO. Thanks for sharing your WOW Moment with us. DarDar

Well it finally happened. I can finally see a difference. I had my 6 month visit today and the nurse took pictures of me. They gave me my pre-op photo and the picture that they took of me today. I WAS SHOCKED!! I could not believe that it was me. Neither of them. I could not believe that I was ever that big and now I can't beleive that I am this small. Geez! I am excited by my progress so far, now that I can see it I will enjoy it better. This has made me want to go farther. My doctor thinks that I might loss another 80 lbs within the next 12 months but he said that it would be as easy as the first. They believe that men lose faster but level off faster than women do. Women tend to slow down but lose steadly for longer time periods. I was glad to hear that. All of my labs came back normal and I was told that I am in excellent condition so far. 1 more month of actigall and I am done. They were surprised that I have not had any hair loss. I told them that I do not use fat free produces except for the milk. I was told to keep doing what I am doing because it works for me. I am a happy girl! 26 to an 18 in 6 months, YES!! Thank you for letting me brag just a little. Yolanda

This is a repost from the main MB Post Date: 2006-06-15 15:57:48 First my WOW!!! I just returned from a week's vacation in Northern California---which meant a coast to coast plane flight. WELL for the first time in 10 years---I did NOT need a lap belt extender on the airplane. Actually I even had a little bit of room left over on the seat belt!!!! WOW OH WOW As for that Century Club card----at minus 95 lbs I think LATE next week or the following week I'll be requesting mine on my profile Wheeeeee So nice after a 6 week stall in April/May. Carry on my fellow LOSERS!!!

Hi Elisa My highest weight that I know of was 315. That is when I flat out refused to get on the scale and take my life back. The day of surgery I weighed 279. I went yesterday for my 6 month and weighed in at 205. Just can't get to that 199. But I will get there. I don't exercise. I do move around a lot now more than I have in decades. I have had 4 hip replacements and two knee replacements. I have missed so much of the world. I won't exercise. I only have a few hours every day that I can deal with the bone pain. So I went to the mall and walked in it for the first time since the early 90s. Thats is my exercise doing things I haven't done in years. Sure I come home hurting and go to bed but I am moving. I drink a lot of water and a ton of decaf tea brewed with mint and use a sweetner. Odd changes?? Sagging thighs, bat wings, chicken neck. Was so used to my skin being stretched to the max now its loose every where. Yes I would get PS but I can't pay for it so I am stuck like Chuck. I have had a lot of wow moments. I thought the best was to find I could fit in the bolted chairs at Popeyes. Waiting on my grandson to order. But my biggest wow came from the Dec babies. When the changed my photo every one talked about they could not believe it was me. I looked at the picture and couldn't believe it was me. They'll tell you when I went to Walmart I couldn't believe that was me on their security cam. Hope this helps. So now I don't have to post my 6 months its all here. Oh my BP yesterday was 120/62. Another medicine bites the dust!!!!!

I started at about 311. Lost 7 lb. before surgery and was at about 304 then. I am 5.5 months out and have lost nearly 80 lb. total. I have had three stalls so far, when I didn't lose weight for about 3 weeks each time. I exercise at least three days a week for about two hours. I usually do 30 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes on the exercise bike, and all the weight machines. I also do extra free weights for my upper arms. I try to get in at least 64 oz. of fluids through water, kool-aide, and SF popsicles. I think my best wow moment has been fitting into an 18-20 for the first time since I can remember! Pat

Hi, Erin! I am doing just fine. I have lost nearly 80 lb. total. I feel much better than I used to feel. Not nearly as much pain! I had hoped to be at 90 lb. lost by my six month appointment on the 30th, but I have been on another stall this month...my THIRD STALL so far... GRRRRR!!! The biggest change for me is the exercise. I go at least three times a week for about two hours each time. I do the treadmill, the exercise bike, and all the weight machines. I have recently been using free weights to improve my upper arms as well. My husband thinks I exercise too much, but I feel I need to go at least one more time a week to keep up and improve my good results. It is sometimes very hard, though, to find that kind of time... My next goal is to get to onederland. Will it ever happen? Yah, it will! HUGS! Pat

HOLY MOLY! I am six months out after lapband surgery and I've lost 25 pounds and I'm *happy* with that (well sort of. Happier than if I had NOT lost it, anyway!! ) Great job.
