I AM SO EXCITED BECAUSE I HAVE HIT THE 100 LB LOST MARK!!! I HAVE GONE FROM SIZE 30-32 STRETCH PANTS TO SNUG 18s IN JEANS. (Within the next 2 weeks I will finally weigh less than my husband) I DON'T THINK I HAVE BEEN THIS LOW SINCE ABOUT 1991 -1993 SOMEWHERE AROUND THERE. MY ADULT DAUGHTER HAD SURGERY NOV 7 AND HAS LOST ABOUT 140 LBS NOW!!! WHEN I JUST WENT TO VISIT HER IN KANSAS CITY LAST WEEK, ( I LIVE NORTH OF SEATTLE), WE WENT TO THE AMUSEMENT PARK AND RODE RIDES ALL DAY UNTIL 1/2 HR BEFORE CLOSING!!! IT WAS GREAT.

Linda, My post is a little late, but thought I would share anyway. I work a really weird schedule, so my eating habbits I am sure are not the best. My 6month aniversary is on the 27th of this month. I started out at 353lbs. I am now down to 239lbs. Leaving me 19lbs to my next personal goal and 49lbs to my surgeon goal of 180. (hope I did the math right) Normally, when I wake up in the morning I have coffee and protein powder. When I get to work, (I work as a cook at VA Tech) I have two slices of bacon, wait a while have one egg, then at break time I have half a bagel w/ some cream cheese. At lunch time, I eat most times a hamburger patty w/ cheese. (no bread) For dinner I normally eat what ever my family eats (just smaller quanities). For snack I normally eat one cracker barrel chese square, and a carb freedom or I will have a dannon 4oz contanier of yougrt. I also like the Jacks Links beef jerkey. I must admit I am not always the best, I have chips, popcorn, things like that. I personally think (my opinion) I can have anything in moderation. Melissa

Way to go !!! I love hearing people proud of themselves and their accomplishments. I wanted to share a funny about the clothes thing. A salesman from work shyly asked me what size I was into now. When I told her, she said, I have some things for you. She had been exercising faithfully and was down about twenty pounds. I smiled and said sure (knowing she was dreaming that I would fit into her clothes). She brought in about 30 pieces and they fit! Nice stuff. I am wearing a NORMAL person's clothes!! I still laugh everytime I slip into those size three and three point five (Chico's) pants. (That is about a sixteen in the common stuff) Life is good. Vicky

This thread is very interesting. I hope even more will share. I had surgery on 12-14 and have lost 62 pounds to date. (I have 38 to go for MY goal....18 for the doctor's goal). Monday through Friday: Breakfast: cup of coffee with creamer, Unjury protein shake mixed iwth milk, crystal light or diet juice. Protein is 30- 40 grams. Mid morning: Power Crunch Protein Bar Lunch: Tuna and crackers, (3 oz package from BumbleBee) or cheese and crackers, (usually 2 oz) or maybe some lunch meat. Once in awhile I order take out with the office and it might be soup (4-6 oz), salad (try to get some meat in it) or an appetizer like chicken wings or seafood. Midafternoon: some nuts (handful) or maybe one oz of cheese, rarely, but sometimes a power crunch protein bar or soy chips. Dinner: meat and veggies Probably 3 oz of meat (fish, shrimp, chicken, beef) and some of the veggies if I can. Late night snack: usually an ice cream or popsicle...all sugar free. Fluids: one bottle of water before I leave the house, one or two before I eat my lunch, one more in the afternoon and one crystal light and another drink of some sort in the evening after dinner. On exercise days, I can drink a bottle while I am on the treadmill in addition to this total. Plus the coffee, SIPS of tea with meals, and the protein drinks. I consume more calories than anyone who has posted. At times I worry about that and try to cut back, but it doens't affect the speed of my weight loss. I haven't lost many pounds in the last six weeks, but I have lost some weight and even more inches. I started exercising about six weeks ago regularly and I beleive it affects everything. I could eat crackers all day long. It is my comfort food now. I keep them at a distance but I have also not had any constipation problems since surgery. My calories are averaging 1100 per day with the protein bars and supplements. And some folks tell me to get even MORE supplements into my schedule!! On the weekends, I eat breakfast with the family.....eggs and such. I rarely eat any snacks during the day and eat out often with friends. I eat many leftovers during the week for my dinner from my weekend meals. I eat chicken and fish most often when I go out. Vicky 240/178/140 five foot four

Sue I am soo glad that you posted! Great job!! I can so relate to your posting, I myself started at 394 a size 34 and have gone down to a 22. SWometimes I worry that I am eating to much and I am awfull at trying to get in my meals- I am a grazer. That scares me because I really don't notice how much I consume. Everyone has got there vices I suppose. I feel good knowing that we are progressing about the same and that I am not at the end of the pack. I apologize, I was not trying to make this about me I am really excited for you... I know those feelings. Size 22 was a huge one for me. Your really lucky that your friend had the clothes. I want to buy buy buy but my budget wont allow it and it would be stupid to spend on clothes that hopefully wont fit for that much longer anyway. Imagine how good it is going to feel to get into an 18!!! Keep up the good work! keri
