OOh yes Diona - I will be his biggest supporter - I just needed to vent - I know that I must of sounded horrible for saying that I was feeling guilty - I just dont want to seem like a failure in his eyes when he sees how much weight he can loose .... I am happy where I am - I want to be 1 size smaller I have gained a couple pounds back but I know that I need to work a bit harder I am 30lbs to goal- who know seeing him loose the weight may motivate me even more - I love my husband dearly and we both made our decision for health reasons and not vanity - I know that men normally loose quicker bucause they put on muscle - I want to see him a "looser" I was even looking up information on revisions - I believe that my stoma stretched because i can eat a little bit be full and then like 20 min later I can eat again - not big portiond but like double what I was able to before but less than a full meal know what I mean? That is great for you and your husband to be jogging together - I can't weight when my husband and I will be able to do that as welll - thank you for your support - .. Thanks Again

I went to my doctor and said give me more thyroid pills! And while we were at it we upped my progesterone and testosterone and cut down my estrogen. I'm feeling so much better and sleeping so much better. Maybe that's what you need - maybe your enimic. Go talk to your doctor! And if he isn't open minded, find another one. Write me if you want some more information. Diona

Hi Jo - long time no see. Sometimes we just feel down - especially if life hasn't been perfect. I hope you are going to support your husband's decision. It could mean a new life for the both of you. He probably sees how great you've done and you doing things more than you used to and wants to be able to join in. My husband and I are having a ball now that I'm skinny again and able to do things we always used to do. We even went jogging the other night together - first time in 28 years of marriage. Was a great night! Diona

You are all doing so great! I am doing ok-I wish I could lose a little more-but I'm still working on it. Down 125 from my all time high of 282. My biggest problem is that I absolutly hate-to excercise. I have not been back to the Dr. since about 3 months out but I do feel much better and my 10-12's are still lots better than my former 26-28's. I have to say, I miss coming on here and chatting with you all. I think we need a support group of some kind. I think I can eat just about whatever I want-but I do not want the same things anymore-and that's a good thing. LOL

Congrats to you marta that's awsome!! I am also almost 2 years out (12/16) and yes the time has totally flown by. I am maintaining a weightloss of 110lb since last December and feel wonderful. I also wear a size 4-6 and sometimes a 2 depending on the style. My health has improved and I just overall feel great. I would like to see before and after pics of you, plus have you thought of doing a profile on this website? I started mine before my surgery and finished it a while back and it was very theraputic to do, so hopefully I will read yours one day. Keep up the good work hugs

I would recommend u going back to your original plan of protein first followed by the veggies and make sure to weigh everything. Also if you haven't been excersising, I suggest u also do that, even if its walking every day, also make sure you are getting in your daily dose of liquids and vitamins. Another suggestion is to contact your nutritionist at your dr's practice for further advice. I go onto an online support group with my nutritionist every monday night between 9 and 10. If u are interested please let me know and I will be happy to give you the details on how to join us. I think it would be of great help to you. Good luck with everything and take care. hugs

Topic: Shocked at the scale!
Well I know I have not been very good lately but I stepped on the scale friday and OMG! I am now 174 lbs. Last I weighed my self it was 165. (I thought I felt different) My lowest weight was about 156 lbs but didn't stay there long- I was usually about 158-164. I have been able to eat more carbs and I guess it shows. And a lot of stress eating. Any advice to GET BACK ON TRACK? Can I got back to protein drinks? How does everyone else get that old "gun-ho" feeling back???? Thanks for any advice! Cheryl

Topic: RE: Choosing my new style!
I went from a size 18-20 to a 2-4-6 and I just love "playing dressup" these days. I always dressed appropriate for my age (48), but now I find myself buying in the a lot of boutiques, and in juniors in the department stores, but I never look like one of those old women trying to look like a teenager, but I am having fun with the younger looking clothes and no more conservative looks. Jeans is now my big collection, I went from owning none to around 15 pairs now!!! I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but I just feel wonderful about it all, not to mention how healthy and alive I feel. By the way Vicky, where do u live in Florida, maybe I could be your personal shopper I have to admit I am very good at it!! Take care and hugs to you

Have you tried posting on the Lap Band Board? They may be able to give you the support that you need. I had RNY so I will be of no help to you, but am hoping that you will find the support you need to be successful. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/a,messageboard/board_id,5359/ Jodi
