My surgery was 12/9/05 The Day of Surgery I weighed in at 240lbs. Today I weigh 170lbs. I've lost 70 lbs and I have about 40 more pounds to go. I just started walking because I had a complication and spent most of January in the ICU. It has taken me until now to finally get the strength to walk 2 miles. I'm still glad I did this after everything that I have gone through. I feel better than ever and I look better than ever too. Congrats to everyone!!!

Hello all. I had my surgery on December 19, 2005. I'm 5'6 and I started off at 260 lbs and am now down to 199 lbs. I exercise regularly. In February, I went to the gym a total of 7 times and lost 12 lbs. I went twice a day, 4 days a week in March and lost 14 lbs. All that extra work and it only made a 2 pound difference. lol Guess I'm really building up those muscles. This month, I go to the gym 3 times a week and I do 40 minutes on the ellyptical then I work out my legs on the weight machines. I work in a clinic so I also do a lot of walking at work. I can fit a size 12 pants and large shirt comfortably. It really feels good not to have an "X" in your size. In case anyone's interested, here's a link to OH's Post-op planner: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/information/post+op+planner.php Just enter your starting weight, height and percentage of excess weight you'd like to lose.
