Hey Everyone! Give us a report on your progress!
Hi, I began at 308 last fall and now weigh 253, for a loss of 55 lb. I have lost 51 lb. since surgery on 12/29. I exercise three or four days a week at a local fitness center doing treadmill, stationary bicycle, and the weight circuit. I plan on adding an aerobics class two times a week beginning next week. My surgeon's goal is 179, so I still have 74 lb. to go for him. My personal goal is 139...

Hi all,
I'm down about 75 pounds since my surgery on 12/28 and down 105 since I started losing. BUT I still have about 135 pounds to go to reach my goal of 150ish (I have so far to go that I haven't even discussed goals with my doctor other than briefly at our first visit). 150 seems reasonable as I'm 5' 9" ish
Hi,
My surgery was December 6th and I have lost 85# so far. Everything is going great....no problems with any food.
I did eat a chocolate kiss (just one) and had no problem with the sugar. I have about 40# to go.
Have gone from a size 22/24 to a 12/14. Life is wonderful. This has been worth everything I have gone through to get here.
Keep up the good work everyone!!
Debbie
Well today marks the 4th month. I didn't have a doctors appointment. I went in just to weigh. I call their scales legal. Mine weighs what ever it feels like that day. Remember 315lbs was the last time I got on the scale at that weight. I flat out refused to weigh again until I knew I saw a drop. Today at the clinic I weighed in at 221.9. I hate those points. So thats a total of 93.1lbs gone. 7 to go to make that first 100lb mark. But I won't ask for a card until I make a 100 gone from the day of surgery which was 279. Oh that seems such a long way away. That would be 57.1 It doesn't seem that I can make it. But hey I never thought I would get this far either. So I'm kool.
I had my surgery 16 1/2 weeks ago, 12/19/05. I started at 5'4" and 259.
I am now 196.5. That's a loss of 62.5!!!! I have 67.5 left to reach my goal weight of 130. I can't believe how well this is going. The only problems I am having are that I believe I am starting to have gallbladder issues (I'm going to the doctor for that tomorrow) and the other problem is mental! We have FREQUENT dinners at work that include a meal and an abundance of desserts. The desserts are the only thing that bother me. I hope it gets easier. I truly mourn the sugar, but sugar has not passed these lips since before surgery. If I try it and don't dump, it's over. I was a chronic candy-eater before surgery and I cannot go back to that habit. I can't control myself.
I walk 5 days a week for 45 minutes. The distance is about 2.5 miles. I am a member of curves, but haven't been for weeks. I need to add that back into my routine.
Overall, I am super pleased with the results!
It must be something in the sout east Texas water. I love sugar. I haven't tried it either. Like you if I find out I don't dump on sugar it is over over OOOOOVVVVVEEEERRRRR
A lady at the clinic today told me she can eat any and every thing and she is still loosing big time. Sure hope it stays that way for her. I think we forget we have a honey moon than you have to work. So I am trying to work now so it won't be so hard later
Good job everyone!
My surgery was 12/20
Start weight was 255, size 24
Current weight 189, size 18 or XL.
Loss of 66#, don't really have a goal except my daughter has a medium sized outfit that I really like and would love to wear.
Eating a variety of foods, no real trouble, just have to eat slow and chew everything really well.
Hi Diana,
Sounds like you are doing great!
I had surgery on Dec. 28th and have lost 54.5 pounds since surgery. I exercise for three days and then take a day off to rest. Today is my rest day and boy am I tired. I have been walking 3 miles at lunch and then doing Curves after work! And Sunday we walked 5 miles! Sure feels good to be able to move again. My goal is 130 ish but my surgeon's goal is 155 - I'm 5'6" but have very slender bones so I like my goal better! I weighed 117 after my son was born and when I was 32 I weighed in at 127 so I know I can do it! If it wasn't for all the prednisone and my hormones going haywire, I don't think I would have gained all the weight. I'm a skinny person at heart - my nickname was bones growing up.
Keep up the great work!
