I wasn't throwing up until my doctor told me I wasn't eating enough meat and way too much soft and liquid foods. This pass week seems I lived in the bathroom. I think my insides just wasn't ready for hard food. I am taking a bite and wait until I feel it go all the way down before I take the next. Yes I can feel it no matter how small it is. It wasn't that way with the soft food, Just gulp and go. I think I have dropped 3 pounds also switching to meat. I don't know if it is because I do eat less or because less has stayed in me
Congrats on your loss! 80 lbs. is nothing to sneeze at. I had my surgery just a couple of days after you and have been stuck at 62 lbs. for awhile. I had a stricture in January and had two scope procedures about a month apart to fix it. I was on clear liquids for that month and lost nothing! When I talked to the NP about it, I was convinced that I had gone into starvation mode and the body was refusing to let any more weight go until I fed it more than jello and broth. Once I did start to eat again, the stall broke and I started losing again. Make sure you don't get dehydrated, and be sure to call your Dr. about so much vomiting. If it is a stricture it won't get better by itself. By the time I actually got the endoscopy done, I couldn't keep even water in.
I know how you feel with the throwing up! I've had some real problems with it too. Mine is because of allergies though. I know it sounds strange, but because I have drainage from my sinuses, it causes alot of problems with my food getting caught in all the phlem/flem (sp?). Fun times!!! I feel your pain! Keep your spirits up!
Diana,
I know how you feel about the throwing up. For the first few months, I was throwing up on a constant basis. I usually knew why I threw up: drinking while eating, not chewing, taking big bites, etc. It went a way a little after month 2 but recently I have noticed that I am throwing up again. Not as much as before but occasionally. I scare my mother because it usually happens around her but I told her that I am fine. I am going to my surgeon's office today and will discuss it with her. I think it is still because I eat too fast and don't chew enough when I eat my meats.
Just know that you are not alone and this too shall pass...
