What are you eating now????
My doctor said I was eating too much liquid and soft foods. I need to eat more meat. I guess I am still not in the I am hungry stage yet. It is just so much easier to eat soft things. I get my protien in and I do eat a little meat. He said its not enough and I need to be eating more dense. He said if I don't switch to more meat and denser now when the hunger does return I won't loose or maybe even gain.
So I guess I need to order a steak with a side of ham and some chicken on the side and tuna to finish off the meal. UGH!
I still have trouble with meat. It had been a while since I tried them and thought this week I give it all a try again. I just tried beef (did it in the slow cooker till it almost came apart) and still got sick, same with a meatball. I don't think I will be trying anymore meats this week. the memories are way to strong. I can report that I eat ham steaks with ease and fmoist ish fillets. So Petty, when is this dreaded hunger supposed to return? I better stock up with a vat of cottage cheese. sunny
I don't know when the "Hunger Monster" will show up. The way he was talking I half way expected it to be right out side in the hall way waiting on me. I have read some people are getting hungry now.
I tried meat last night and back up it came. Yeah I looked at it and it was chewed chewed and chewed.
This morning I tried just two small bites. My pouch let me know it was hurting from the Allegra and now the meat. It did stay down just couldn't handle it. I just went and did a protien drink and have been sipping tea ever since.
Maybe later today I'll try again. I have some Brussel sprouts and pork chops in the crock pot. If the pork doesn't work I know I can eat the sprouts.
Haven't tried beef or much seafood yet but I can eat turkey and chicken.. I try to have one or the other for one meal a day
Ground Turkey is great for everything.. I mix it up with different types of seasonings and add cheese and it's always good. I always have this in the fridge and will eat it for snack sometimes because it's easy.
I also get low sodium sliced turkey from the deli.. it's pretty chewable.. and is good in salads and low carb wraps. again easy easy.. and doesn't taste processed which I can't stand now.
chicken is only edible if it's moist moist moist.. otherwise it's a terror.. hehe In that.. I usually bake chicken in the oven covered in nonfat italian dressing and then it usually comes out super moist.
I agree though.. cheese is so much easier sometimes hehe
i have been eating just about everything - just not alot of anything. I even had a couple bites of filet last night (small bites, well chewed) - we were at a fancy dinner and I felt bad that I couldn't eat more but was full. The waiter asked it anything was wrong... even ate 2 bites of the dessert and that was enough.
The only thing that I still have trouble with at times is chicken for some reason - and I used to eat chicken alot. Have been eating more lately but am loosing more weight for some reason than I was. Don't think that I was eating enough variety for awhile.
