How is the emotional ride so far? I am maintaining sanity but some days it is harder. I have been told the fat cells store estrogen and the flushing of so much fat in a short period of time puts more hormone imbalance into play. Whatever it is, it is wearing me out.
Is anyone else experiencing any oddities? I can laugh and cry in the same sentence. My reaction to outside influences is all over the board. I am not allowing myself to make major life altering decsions right now because I do not trust my own judgement. (No new cars this week!!)
What's is happening to your life, if anything?

I am going thru the SAME thing!!! I wrote about this in my blog yesterday that I have been up, down, to the left and right this week, Its been crazy. I am starting to think that dropping 64lbs in three months is the culprit, I am sad one minute, happy the next, I feel like the world is falling on me and I have no strength to lift it, so please believe me, you are NOT alone in this feeling.

Of course the guys are welcome! Thank you for responding. I am not a person to show anger, but itt is there. I was always fearful of being labled hot-headed, which for a woman begins with a b. I have more anger now and it surfaces quicker. I am getting a lot of extra exercise walking away from the situation until i can respond evenly. Not of all this emotional ride is related to a female hormone. No way.
Great progress Scott. Keep it up! Your profile inspired me to do more.

I went off on my boss the other day. I walked away from a conference call to calm down and then blasted him upon return. He thought I had lost my ever lovin' mind. So, I apologized for the outburst...not for what I said.
My OB/GYN told me that I might have to start taking estrogen once I lost 50lbs. After reading your post and thinking about how I reacted to my dimwit boss...I need to call her.

I think everyone needs to read the book "Hormone Hell to Hormone Well" by C. W., Jr., M.D. Randolph and Genie James, as it will help you figure out just what is going on with your body. It is well written and easy to follow. I refer back to mine so often - I have been to 2 8 hr workshops on hormones put on by Dr. Cheryl Hart who wrote the book "Insulin Resistence Diet". She is great and says I am now more educated than my doctor because MDs only get 4 hours of hormone training in medical school. It will also make it easier to communicate with your doctor.
I use Bi-Est, Progesterone, and a little testosterone all in cream form. It has really helped me get a grip on my emotions.
Also, if you are taking synthetic hormones, you should really look into bioidentical hormones as synthetic ones raise your risk for cancer.
