Hello, Way to go on your weight lost. I'm pretty open to anyone who asks because if I can tell them how much and how happy I am then they don't ask me as often. I have lost 33 lbs since my surgery date of 12/9/05. I need to lose another 70 lbs to get to my goal of 150. I plan on being at my goal by 12/9/06. Of course everyone has there own way of telling people about your weight lost. Just remember every pound is an accomplishment. Good Luck to you on you goal and your dreams. I feel pretty much the same way. Besides my family knowing, I decided to only let three people from my work know what type of surgery I was having. One woman I let know had RNY over a year ago and she said she wished she hadn't told everyone. People will make comments like, "Should you be eating that?", ect. No thanks. Now that I am back at work, more people know, but some still don't. People have complemented me, since I "look like (you) have lost weight". I don't feel obligated to tell them the truth. It is my personal business and I just wonder how comfortable they would feel being asked personal questions. I maybe overly sensitive about my weight, but since I have been dealing with this weight issue all my life, I am still not willing to share my journey with just anyone. Thanks! 0
