so i havent lost anything going on three weeks. it is starting to get to me becuase i am not doing anything different. i get scared that this is it, thats the end of my loosing and i will be stuck here forever. i know... dramatic.. but i cant help but be scared that i wont loose anymore. i am only three months out and have lost about 60 lbs, but i still have so much to go untill goal.. about 80 or 90... im getting discouraged. i even upped my protein, upped my water and exercise these last two weeks.. im getting in around 90-100 grams of protein a day without exceeding my calorie limits of 1200. argghhhh. sorry im venting. tiffany

Hey Tiffany, For what it's worth, we're on the same path. I had my surgery on the 12th. I've lost 65 pounds but 12" off my waist. Now I do the same things you do and eat the same amount of calories. I do weight lift somewhat heavy though so I have some muscle replacing fat which weighs more. I stall for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and then 10 pounds come off overnight. In the meantime, I'm losing inches so check that. I am not considered a real heavy weight so I think the pounds will come off slower. It is frustrating because I feel behind everyone else too. So see if your pattern is like mine. stall, drop, stall drop etc. As long as you're losing inches don't sweat it. It'll come. You won't gain with your program. You're doing everything right. Good luck......Carbonblob

hey carbonblob! i soooo relate to you!!!! that is how this whole process has been for me. NOTHING steady, i feel like i am constantly playing catch up. not loosing, not loosing, not loosing, then one day i wake up and i am down another 10 lbs. it is crazy. my friend made a comment to me one monday "did you not eat this weekend, you lost weight in two days" and im like your telling me! haha. sometimes i think my scale is playing tricks on me. where do you measure to check for inches? waist, chest, legs, arms? neck? good luck on your weight loss and your not alone or behind anyone else! great job so far! tiffany

Tiffany, I know it's frustrating...your body is adjusting for the next weight loss phase. I can say that because I was in the same situation 10 days ago and I've dropped 5lbs since then. Just say to yourself, "...I'm doing the right things and it will come off with time." Do that a couple hundred times and it will come true. Oh, check your total inches lost... Chauncine p.s. When I hit my next plateau...remind me of this post.

Girl! I know the feeling! At this point I am staying away from the scales. I refuse to get back on the scale until I go to the Dr's office on April 25. These numbers will drive you up a freaking wall.

i know! if i wasnt so addicted to my scale i would throw it out the freaking window.. but knowing me i would walk right out there and pick it up and even get on it again before i get up to my room haha. its a sad sad thing lol. good luck on loosing more soon, thats what im hoping for!!! take care tiffany

Sounds like you are doing everything RIGHT! Don't get too discouraged. I actually stalled for about a month. And, then I started losing again. It WILL happen!! Blessings~

Wow, I can't believe how many calories everyone is taking in. 1,200 calories is what I see long term posties eating for maintenance, not for losing and not so early out. But, if you are doing as your doctor says, it is only a matter of time before it starts to come off again. Plateaus don't last forever and this is not the end of your road.
