Anyone go down in a shoe size yet? I have not. I'm wearing the same old shoes. I'm just curious if it happens. Thanks, Sunny

I haven't gone down in size but all my shoes are now too wide. Not that I'm complaining about having to go shoe shopping! -Maria

Yeah, I'm starting to feel some room in the sides too. Be nice to go from a wide to a regular. Sunny

I've gone down from 12 to 11 so far. There's another 1/2 size of foot fat left - I was a 10 1/2 at one time.

wow! That's something. I know my shoe size expanded over time, I thought it was just spreading out from age. It would be very nice to go down a size. How much weight have you lost? I'm guessing a lot. sunny

Yes, shoe sizes will change. My Sister-in-law manages a very high end shoe store and has worked in the industry for twenty years. She says the rule of thumb is 1/2 size for every thirty pounds. The size may be a combination of length and width. So don't buy alot of shoes along the way. I already have some wides that I can't keep on my feet. All of those shoe purchases that were good on the perfect day of the month seem to fit fine now. I am down 45 pounds at three months post op. Vicky

Yes, the shoe size was the first to go on a downward path for me. I think by week 3 or 4 I was out buying new shoes because mine were too big. Before surgery, I could wear a 12 wide, some 13 depending on where I purchase them and now I can wear a 10 1/2 - 11 (depending on where I get them from). It feels good to walk in a store and find your size on the shelf. JaNae

I was wondering the same thing. I used to wear a 8 now I am wearing a 6 1/2, I wasnt sure if it was the tennis shoes compared to sandals or what happened.
