Yes, shoe sizes will change. My Sister-in-law manages a very high end shoe store and has worked in the industry for twenty years. She says the rule of thumb is 1/2 size for every thirty pounds. The size may be a combination of length and width. So don't buy alot of shoes along the way.
I already have some wides that I can't keep on my feet. All of those shoe purchases that were good on the perfect day of the month seem to fit fine now. I am down 45 pounds at three months post op.

Yes, the shoe size was the first to go on a downward path for me. I think by week 3 or 4 I was out buying new shoes because mine were too big. Before surgery, I could wear a 12 wide, some 13 depending on where I purchase them and now I can wear a 10 1/2 - 11 (depending on where I get them from). It feels good to walk in a store and find your size on the shelf.
