Happy Monday!
Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. Anyone out there want to share your progress?
I am doing well...enjoying eating a few new things. I had steak last night and it was really good! I haven't ed in a while which makes me very happy! And best of all, when I weighed this AM I finally lost that extra pound (and more) so I can say, I have lost 51.5 lbs since my surgery! Woo-hoo!!
Hi Diana. I had a good weekend and I can say that I am having fewer problems with now which is great. Good job on the weight loss. I am down 41 pounds now and very happy with the changes in my blood pressure and pain while walking is gone too. Oh, and I am so glad to be getting rid of my "fat" clothes for good! Have a great week. Joy
Hi Diana,
Yippee for you. Doesn't it feel wonderful to have broke that 50 lb mark? I only weigh on Monday's and hit 52 lbs, I was so disapointed last week when it was 49.
Last night I went out to dinner with my family to Outback Steakhouse, it wasn't such a good experience. I had a couple of bites of my brother's steak, and a couple bites of my Mom's prime rib- the prime did not sit so well. I also had a coconut shrimp and two bites of salad and one bite of onion blossom. Needless to say all of that means I over ate and on the way home I had my husband pull over on the interstate so that I could . Well gee, thinking we were having car problems my brother and then my mother both pulled over. How embarrassing. I told my husband later that I just cannot let everyone feed me. I will order my own meals and only eat what I am allowed from now on.
I hope everyone else's weekend ended better.
Have an awsome week!

Hi All! I too still have problems keeping food down. Happens several times a week still. If I overeat, it makes me nauseaus and then hopefully I get sick. If I don't get sick I just feel yucky for an hour and a half with that bubbles in the mouth thing. Anyone else get that bubble stuff too? I can't eat a lot of things..meat, chicken being the most difficult. They just don't sit right. I eat a lot of soups, cottage cheese, eggs and cereal. I had my first salad tonight. Been too scared to try it and it was delish! I cut it up in little pieces..it looked kind of like coleslaw sized pieces. It sat great with my pouch. keep up the great losses everyone. I've now lost 44lbs. I'm very happy with that. been enjoying cleaning out my closet. xoxo to all! Sunny
Good Tuesday Morning Diana,
Im doing pretty good. I can not tolerate any meats at all, or fish for that matter it floods my system and then I either purge or have to go to bed and rest until it decides to head south. But I can eat vegetables and some fruits. I eat more veggies than I do fruits though. I have been getting my protein in quote well I average around 100 grams a day and that helps to make up for the lack of Meat. I tried Refried beans the other night and that did ok but I didnt eat very many. So I may try them again.
I had my surgery 12/16/05 and am now down 58lbs. I was stalled for about two weeks but it is moving again. Ive also gone from size 26/28 to 15/16 in Pants and 26/28 in tops to size 18/20 (I blame it on the boobs).
I dont dump very much I dumped so much in the beginning that I have slowed down and really paid attention to what and how much Im putting into my mouth.
So this is where I am. Im still very very happy that I had this life saving surgery.

You have made great progress...Congratulations, Dori! Have you talked to your doctor about the fact that you can't tolerate much solid food yet? I have just found in the last week that I can eat more meats if I really take time to eat and chew a lot. Last night I had about a 4 oz boneless pork chop with about 5 spears of asparagus, and I really wanted to eat them so I took it so s-l-o-w-l-y that I was sitting there a full 45 minutes eating. Everything went really well. Have you tried this kind of pace? It seems artificial, but it really works! Good luck!
