Hi Susan: How do you feel? I am finally feeling good. I had a moment after surgery where I was dumping a lot and couldn't keep things down. Now, I feel normal. Are you still battling with nausea? Not really, I have my ups and downs. I usually know what causes the nausua and that is eating too fast or too much diary product. If so how often? not that often that I can count Does anything help you? I take chewable Pepto Bismol, also take Pepcid 2x a day Any other problems you are experiencing on a regular basis?none at this present moment, Thank the Lord What does your diet consist of at this point? salad, soup, shrimp, chicken, turkey, meatloaf, tacos (soft), sandwiches, grapes, strawberries I have been bad and slipped a few no-no foods but I usually make up for it with extra exercising or a healthier meal the next round. I also found out that I do not dump on sugar and that's not good for me. But, I rarely do anything that has more than 10g of sugar. Trying to kick that bad habit fast!!! Do you smoke? No JaNae 338/270-271?/175

I am having problems with vomitting. I don't seem to able to make that transistion to regular food. I eat Yoplait light yogurt for both breakfast and lunch (afraid I might have to vomit at work). I try to eat a decent supper but I have trouble eating anything of substance. So I stick with pureed food or yogurt and sugar free Jello pudding.

Hi Susan and other December-ites: I finally feel really good! Like others who have posted, here, I had a stricture that led to vomiting and malnutition - felt horrible! One dilation seems to have done the trick for me - had it about 6 weeks ago, and haven't had any trouble since. I hope you are able to get to the bottom of whatever is causing the nausea. It helps so much to finally be able to eat "normal" food. Keep us posted... Lisa 277/220/175??

How do you feel? I feel fabulous now, lot's of energy! Are you still battling with nausea? No, not since doc put me on prilosec and reglan. Stopped the reglan weeks ago and just take my prilosec. No more tummy problems at all. Any other problems... Constipation. That is the only one... What does your diet consist of? Mostly cheese, yogurt, nuts, and chicken + veggies when I have room. I drink lots of protein and it keeps me feeling full a lot. Do you smoke? No. My surgeon strictly forbids it and will not give us the operation if we are smoking. He says why solve the #2 cause of preventable death while you are still participating in the #1 cause?

For those who have asked for an update. The Dr. gave me Prevacid to take everyday and it is helping somewhat. Sometimes I have to take an additional one to get through a 24 hour period and I have to be careful about what I eat. I think I maybe getting lactose intolerant but I'm not sure what the symptoms are. I know it does seem to increase the nausea most of the time so I've been staying away from it. Sigh...I have always loved milk. OH well ...on the positive side, I've lost 80 lbs as of my 3 mo. anniversery. Only 110 to go. LOL.
