I believe it has to do with the patients that get Banded instead of the RNY bypass.. The Dr puts fluid into the band to tighten it up I think Im not sure.... (((HUGS))) Dori

Have you tried very lean Ham, or canadian bacon? The cost per pound is high, but since we eat so little it is still cheap. I find it very easy to chew.

It is when the surgeon uses a needle to put saline in an adjustable gastric band through a port located just below the skin. This has nothing to do with an RNY surgery. I have had two fills and would be just about ready for my third, but work won't let me off, we are way too busy these days. Funny, but I never thought you RNY folks would have the same "food sticking" trouble as a bandster. My problem with food sticking is getting better. I think I am just getting used to eating smaller bites, chewing longer. A lady in my support group says that we should be eating bites the size of a baby spoon or fork. When I eat like that, I don't have much trouble with food sticking, unless it's dry food. -- Mary Daily 12-29-2005 Dr Carlyle Dunshee II, Topeka, Kansas -- 36
