Hi Dori.. I had a stall for about four weeks where I only lost like 3 pounds.. and then in the last week I lost 6 pounds. I guess everything kinda evens out in the end.. at least I hope it does. Doc says we should end up loosing on average about a half a pound a day to be on the healthier side of things. I'm still above that for now loosing 47.5 pounds in 12 weeks.. which is almost 4 pounds a week.. But regardless.. I totally agree.. stalls still suck!!!! Blahh to stalls!! STOMP STOMP!! hehe April

Dori, I'm in a stall right now too. And like the others here, I try to reassure myself that this is normal and will pass. I am 5'2" and started out 267# day of surgery and the last time I weighed was 211.5#. I want to be under 200# SO BAD!!!!!!!! So close but yet so far. So, we all need to hang in there and keep our *****s) up. One thing to think about too...muscle weighs more than fat, so the added exercise you all have been doing may be masking some of the weight loss too. Hugs, Lisa

Dori, I've been in a stall for a couple weeks. I think I've lost maybe 4lbs this entire month. It's hard to be positive when others are doing so well. I'm happy for you all, really I am. This board is a godsend for me because we truly understand and support each other. My friends are looking at me like I'm crazy because I've lost 54lbs total. I have 80 more lbs to go. Contrary to popular belief...the weight doesn't melt off of you after WLS. I'm working really hard. Thanks for listening to my rant, Chauncine

Dori, I am 12 1/2 months out and I have had many stalls. I lost 124 lbs in the first ten months and nothing for the next two. It can get to you but I tried not to let it. I knew that my body had to catch up with me. I took my measurements as well and even though I had not lost weight, in one month I lost 7 inches off my thighs, and 3 inches off my waist, but no weight loss.....that is a lot of inches.... I could not beleive it. But after two months of this, I upped my protein. I have not used protein supplements since I was able to eat regular foods. But by just adding two protein drinks per day, I have went from 221 on 2-22-06 to 209 today. I could never stand the protein drinks but have found some that I can tolerate and boy has it made the scale start moving again. But the most important thing for all of us to remember is that our body will stop every once in a while. If you are following the Barix program, and I know you were a Barix patient, you will do great. Love and hugs to you Dori, keep up the melting. Sherry Ionia, MI 2-22-2006 Dr. Schram 345/209/142

I love the relief I feel when I log on and see that all of you are dealing with the exact same things as me! I've stalled the week before my period the previous two months, but then it appears I'm in a stall a week early this time... that scale just won't move. I'm like the others and exercise religiously, etc. I have noticed that my pants are still getting bigger even though the scale isn't moving, so I'm hoping I'm swapping muscle for fat and as we've been told our whole lives, muscle weighs more than fat. LOL. I'm 11 weeks out and down 54 lbs. Glad to know I'm not alone, keep your chin up! Tam
