Itching???

Hi, guys. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but thought I would ask if anyone has ever had this. For about the last week I have started itching all over. There is nothing there, just a constant irritation. Also, I have been experiencing nausea for the first time since surgery. Not vomiting, just the sensation. I was in the grocery store over the weekend and the smell from the bakery made me very sick to my stomach. I was able to talk myself through it, but thought I might have to rush to the restroom. The only other thing that has changed over the last week is my mood. I have been so happy up until recently. My coworkers have even commented that I am such a happy person since I've had my surgery. But lately, I get so irritated with people! Sometimes I can't stand myself! Anyway, those are three changes that have taken place and I'm wondering if it could be related to some deficiency. My 3 month checkup is tomorrow, so I know the doctor will order blood work. Thanks! Sherry

Sherry, I am not sure what the itching is, but have you tried to use Benedryl (sp). On my list of medications that is something I can take. Have you eaten, drank, or used a different soap than normal?? I hope you get to feeling better soon. Melissa

I wonder if the itching could be from dry skin with less than adequate fluid intake. I'm sure that is the case with me. I don't feel nausea all the time but don't enjoy eating. It is more like a chore, and I don't like (therefore don't finish) most food and waste alot because of this. I too have been so irritable over the past month or so. I am annoyed very easily, especially with people. Let me know how your Dr. appt goes and what you find out. Hugs, Lisa

I am having the same itching problem. I have scratcthed myself raw. I have just purchased some Gold Bond lotion today to see if it helps. Let us know what you find out. Your fellow itcher!

Med reaction? I had a severe reaction to actigal(surgeon uses it to hopefully stop bariatric patients from needing to have there gall bladders removed). I stopped taking it which helped. The itching was driving me mad! My skin has also been very dry since the surgery--Was told to up the fluids and use Aveeno. Good luck!
