ICE COLD DRINKS
I too have never heard that cold drinks were bad or harmful to my pouch. Drinks that aren't ice cold (full of ice) I can't tolerate. I have to have my drinks real cold. Like Sharon, I put ice even in my protein drinks when I blend them. And I freeze one bottle (plastic usually 32 oz.) of water in the freezer at all times, so I can always have ice water to drink. I pull it out of the freezer and let it thaw either in the fridge or out, and put a new one in to freeze in its place. My goal is to drink most if not all of 2 of these bottles. I love my ice water, as well as, iced tea and other SF beverages. Iced drinks don't hurt me. Not having iced drinks would hurt me because I wouldn't take in enough fluids. But like any other fluid, I can't gulp it down like I used to, or else PAIN. And yes regarding soda pop drinks...the reason we can't have them is because the carbonation will expand and (I found out) be painful. I was told to let it go flat before drinking it. When I have gone out to eat iced tea or ice water is my beverage (30 minutes after eating).
