Hello, 1. Pre-op 279, Current 223, Goal 150 Height 5 6 1/2 2. Acheiv One Protein Drinks and Fuzzy Navel Nectar. Food is still not tasting too good to me, but I do enjoy fresh veggies like cucumbers/tomatoes occasionally. 3. Ups-Tons more energy, being told I look healthy by people (that means much more to me than "pretty", "thin" etc, because that has been my goal with this surgery. Downs-Constipation, Worrying that maybe I don't eat enough and learning to deal with social situations that include food. Thanks, Paula T. 12/20/05

My first post! Thanks for the questions, JaNae! 1. Pre-Op: 276; Current: 226; Goal??? 150ish (I'm 5'6") 2. Favorite food: yogurt, avacado, fruit 3. Ups: 50 lbs has been a milestone for me - I'm finally starting to believe that this really will work. Which brings me to Downs - doubting! I guess after so much failure for so long, it's hard to believe that this will wor****pt thinking if anybody could go through WLS and NOT lose weight, it's me! 4. I have to learn that eating is necessary to lose weight! I still have a tendency to think - If I skip this meal, that will be better. Have to make myself eat all my mini-meals!

Grilled fish, boiled or grilled shrimp, power crunch bars, chicken salad, cucumbers with ranch dressing, and fruit, especially watermelon 3. Any ups and downs you would like to share? I'm getting in a lot of my old clothes and I have so much more energy. I'm exercising and I just feel so much more comfortable in my skin. 4. Anything else you would like to share.... I am so grateful God provided a way for me to have this surgery AND that I have had no complications. God is awesome! Best wishes to everybody!

1. What are your stats? Pre-op/Current/Goal Highest 232/Current 187/Goal 130 ish 2. What is your favorite food(s) now? Anything with salsa! 3. Any ups and downs you would like to share? Had a stricture, got it fixed Monday, am now able to eat 5 small meals a day! That's without throwing up! 4. Anything else you would like to share.... If you are throwing up too much, go get checked. I thought I was reacting to food when my stoma was only about 2 mm and would only le****er or juice through. I got so dehydrated - had to have IV fluids twice. After the EGD I can eat about anything with no problems. Now my problem is getting my fluids in between meals! Diona

Here is my journey so far I had my RNY done on 12/1/05 @ Magee in Pittsburgh PA. 1. What are your stats? Pre-op(273) current (220) goal (160) 2. What is your favorite food(s) now? Spicy (i.e. buffalo chicken) 3. Any ups & downs? More ups than downs so far. I think my downs fall into people I really thought were friends aren't. Also just when I think I'm not going to dump I do. It's like 3-4 weeks go by & I'm fine then all of the sudden "up comes something". My ups are that I physically feel wonderful & I am seeing changes. 4. Anything else you would like to share>>> Just that this was the best decision I could make & am very glad that I did it. It truly is a journey with no end Everyday takes you to new & different places (or for me it does) I hope those that are considering doing it research well & know that it truly is a life altering decision but a terrific decision as well. Only you are in control of the outcome!!!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck to all Debbie

1. What are your stats? Pre-op/Current/Goal pre-op 323/265/160? i am 5' 9" 2. What is your favorite food(s) now? chicken strips/ veggies/ cheddar cheese and water 3. Any ups and downs you would like to share? I have found that if I don't drink enough water that I get constipated. So I am trying to pour on the water. I have engery out the ying yang and I love it. I have emptied my closet twice now. It is great to lose so much and I have been going to the gym and firming things up. downs I still can't find a boyfriend. I am noticing this more and more lately. It hasn't changed much since before surgery but just focusing on it more now. 4. Anything else you would like to share If I don't take my time and eat SLOWLY I tend to throw things up. I have to remind myself to chew chew chew. I want a hamburger but I am scared to death to even try it. I tryed a few bites of a biscuit the other day and it stayed with me for hours it seemed like. I didn't like that feeling at all. Steph
