I've gradually worked my way up to 3.5 or 4 oz per meal to be satisfied (but not full) - mostly protein. How much are you eating?

If it is a solid food, then usually 1/4 to 1/2 cup. The denser the food, the less it takes. I found I can eat up to 3/4 cup of salad or soup though. I guess it is because of the liquid lubricating the foods. I'm having a hard time with some meats though. Pork(lean cut) makes me , chicken and steak make me , but I'm good with salmon, tuna, or any other seafood, and they are pretty high in protein. I can eat chili and spagetti fine (only small amounts of whole grain pasta, though). I recommend blending the chili in the food processor though at least at first. I actually ate a salad with some tuna on top and did really good with it. It was nice to have some veggies with my protein......lol. Can't eat any bread, toasted or not. I hope you are doing well! Keep up the good work!

If it is pureed or liquidy I can have 4-6 ozs. If it is solid I can have 1-2 ozs. Not much fits in there at one time!

It really depends on what I am eating. Today I had my usual protein shake around 6:30a.m. Thats with 3/4cup of 1%milk 1 teaspoon instant coffee, 2 teaspoons of Hersheys cocoa powder and 1 sweetner. That handles my CRAVINGS for chocolate. When I came from the doctor I put two fish filet in the oven. I really thought I was going to eat both of them. They looked so small to me. Well my eyes are still way bigger then my stomach. No make that my pouch now. I ate a little over half of one and had to make my self stop eating it. I knew I was pass full. Don't want to start that again and don't want to stretch my pouch either. Cottage cheese mixed with yougurt and canned fruit in water about 3/4 cup. Some days to me I eat way too much and the next day I have to make myself eat enough.

I am the same It depends on the day! some days I can't eat much of anything and some days I feel like I eat like normal. Today for instance I have had 2 slices of bacon for breakfast, less than a 1/3rd of my ceaser ( no meat ) salad. I am trying really hard to be good, but I am feeling like I need to be on a DIET to continue to loose weight. I can't say that I eat all the right things but, I am certinly not eating fast foods or cake and pastries! ( i cant eat much sugar I get dumping) 235/196/ 135 Goal

I dont know how much I *could* possibly handle, because I have never ate more then 4 oz at a time. Now, if it is yogurt, I can eat 4 oz in like 15 minutes and feel satisfied... if it is a dense food, like say chicken breast, it takes me about 40 minutes to eat 3oz and I am stuffed.

I can eat about 4 oz of soft fish and maybe 3 oz of chicken. But it depends on the day and how the old pouch is feeling. Soft foods I can do more so I have to be careful with that. The times I after eating are getting more rare so I'm happy about that!!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that eats next to nothing. Breakfast - protein shake, 11 oz. can Lunch - decaf, skim latte or 3/4 c. cheese based soup Dinner - peanuts, cheese, or more milk or soup Anything more dense still makes me But, I'm losing regularly and feel great. 68 lbs in 8 weeks...I'm not complaining.

Maria-you aren't eating enough. Your body will soon go into starvation mode. You surely could add a little something. perhaps some cheese sticks or another protein shake. How about a South Beach cereal bar-or a Slim Fast Hi Protein bar-they are YUMMY. Perhaps you could call your dr. or nutrionist for help.
