What kind or which brand of iron suppliment is everyone taking? I confess to not taking any..the ones I tried all made me throw up. I am now worried and want to try other brands. do you take pill form or liquid? If you take pills are you able to swallow them whole? thanks for the info. sunny

I do not know about anyone else, but I still take the Flinstones chewable vits, with iron. They seem to work really well, at least for me. Melissa

Thanks Melissa! I take the flinstones gummies vit, but it has no iron. Maybe I will switch to their chewables then. Do they taste bad? I started with the chewable Centrum but hated the vitamin smell and taste. Thanks, sunny

Sunny - I am having a HUGE problem with Iron. I am anemic and my surgeon put me on a prescribed iron supplement. Unfortunately I am also battling severe nausea. I just can NOT tolerate the iron. I have already had a stricture and now I have an ulcer - so I have constant nausea. I am on a variety of meds to heal the ulcer and my GI guy was able to open the stricture. But that doesn't help with the Iron problems. I am trying to find an alternative. As unappealing as it may sound I am trying to investigate if there is an Iron suppository available. My surgeon has spoken with a Dr. in Florida who has had great success with suppository multi-vitamins and calcium. I am trying to find out about the Iron. From what I understand you may not even need to "take" the vitamins on a daily basis. Your body absorbs the vitamins much better rectally rather than orally. Ask your surgeon! See what they may know!! Again - not for everyone - but I know for me I need to find a way to get that Iron in!! Good luck! Holly

I take Slow Fe - twice a day - not even with meals and it works very well for me - no nausea at all. It is a slow release and is supposed to be more easy on the system......Hope this helps. Amelda

Raisins, spinach, beef jerky all have lots of iron. Also, use a cast iron pan to cook your food in and you will get more iron. I am all for getting your vitamins and minerals from food whenever possible. Good luck!
