Talking about a good feeling! At 8 weeks I have lost 45#. Things were getting pretty loose. Started going through my clothes and next thing I knew I had emptied out half of my closet. Ended up pulling out a bunch of clothes out of the corner that hadn't fit in a long time because they were to small.... They fit now - I just about cried. What a blessing this is.

OK thats it!!!! Someone drag me to my closet and get me out of these clothes. On WLS day of surgey I was 279. Today I am 238. I have no idea what size I am because I won't come out of the baggy clothes!!!! One thing I am still freezing so I know I am not coming out of the sweaters. I put some of them on and I have to roll the sleeves up. They go pass my finger tips. I am big boobed and thick waist so I really don't think I have dropped sizes the way you have. My butt, thighs and legs have vanished. So maybe tomorrow I will bite the bullet. I did get into a size 24 pants that I bought years ago before they changed the sizes. Today they would be a 22 or 20. No stretch with zipper and button. The waist is snugged but the legs are blowing in the wind. I heard some say they buy mens jeans for a better fit. Aren't they too big in the back waist????

For some reason, I cannot bring myself to get rid of my old clothes. Although I really need to do it. I guess I am afraid still being almost seven weeks out I am going to wake up and be the size I once was. Congrats to you on your weight loss. Melissa

Wow, looks like we are all about the same in losing the pounds...I have lost 40 also..my clothes are starting to look really baggy...I have lost all my weight I think in my chest and butt...Isn't it a wonderful feeling? But I can relate to getting rid of them.....I am afraid that this is a dream and I am going to wake up and overnight had found the pounds again. Glad to see that I am normal in the 40 pound range. I suddenly realized that I was tugging on my pants all day and that was when I figured out that I really was loosing weight. Definately a wow moment - then I was so excited I started trying on all of my clothes - that is how I ended up cleaning out my closet. So cool.

I had one of those WOW moments today!! I had on a favorite pair of pants today that I had bought just a week or so before my surgery. I knew they had gotten big, but I thought it would be ok. Of course I could not find my belt so I went on about my day. I went to take out the trash so both hands were full. Well as I got to the end of the driveway....IT happened!! My pants fell down to my knees with my undies on their way down too!! Good thing my neighbors weren't up yet...what a site that would be before breakfast!!! lol I guess I really need to get rid of the clothes that are too big now - no matter how much I like them. I just have to wrap my brain around the fact that I am down 54#'s from my top weight & 43#'s since surgery. It is so hard...I still see the "old" me that I have known for years & not the "new" me that others are beginning to see. Is anyone else having issues not being able to see the new you??? Happy Vanentine's Day to all!! Alison

Way to go all of you! I have also lost over 40lbs but I'm hanging on to my older clothes. They still fit but are getting very loose. I was in size 30/32 but everyone tells me that I'm getting "lost" in my clothes. I have been able to wear a few 26/28 clothes and even a pair of 26 Venzia Jeans that I haven't worn since my son was born. The tops are hit and miss cause I'm sensitive about showing my back rolls.......lol. Anyway I'm so proud of all of you and keep up the good work.... All my love my WLS sisters! Carol G.

Do you know what the best part of this is? Knowing that I can get rid of the old clothes instead of sticking them in the corner of the closet - that I will never be this size again! I do understand the feeling of not being quite "caught up" to your new size, though. Several times lately, I have looked in the mirror in the morning and not recognized myself - does that sound strange or what. I supposed it will take a while to get used to it and I still have a long way to go loosing weight. Anyway, good job everyone! We are through the hard part and it just gets easier from here!
