Oatmeal..anyone try it yet????
I did last week twice for the first time. It was the regular old fashion oats. I think it was too many carbs because I stalled. I would not eat it before then because I didn't want any of the husk to hang up in the staple lines. They have a low carb but I haven't tried it. Don't think I'll eat the old fashion again for months to come. That 1/4 cup wasn't worth it no matter how good it taste
Yes, I have eaten oatmeal or cream of wheat made in the microwave with milk almost every day. I like to use the Quaker Apples and Cinnamon instant oatmeal. I put a little extra milk in so that it is thinner and it goes down just fine.
Other things I am eating: soups, bananas, Yoplait diet yogurt (100 calories per container), strawberries (chew well), Healthy Choice Turkey and Mashed Potato TV dinner, diet pudding, scrambled eggs, I had a piece of bacon too and just chewed it well...it was fine. Also soft cheeses and tuna salad(made with diet mayonnaise) on crackers, a half of a quesadilla with guacamole on it.

I love hot cereal for breakfast. I started pureed stage with cream of rice, made with skim milk no****er. At one month my program allows oatmeal. I found Kashi GoLean Creamy All Natural instant. I make 1/2 hafl a package with skim milk. 1/2 of a packet has 4.5g of protein before making it with the milk. I usually eat 2T of a carb controlled vanilla yogurt with the cereal. Mmmmmmmmmmm my favorite.

Yep, I've been eating oatmeal for about 3 weeks now. Not instant, but the steel-cut oats. They have more fiber, which I was needing in order to address a constipation issue. I add half a scoop of either unflavored protein powder or Protein Delite Vanilla Very Berry, and it's yummy. Key is to take small bites, and chew well, just like any other food. I can only eat 1/4 cup at a time, and with the protein in it I'm full and satisfied when I get done...
Give it a try--it's good for you! And yes, it has carbs, but these definitely fall into the category of "good" carbs.
