5 week appt.
Hi friends,
I had my appt yesterday with my surgeon and he was thrilled with my progress. I've lost 27lbs since my surgery -dec 19th- and he says I'm right on target. He wants me to try new sources of protein and said I could try salad and fruit. He was very permissive this visit- but stressed protein first, exercise, water and no/limited snacking. I asked if I could try caffeinated coffee and he said go ahead as long as it sits well. I tried it this morning and guess what? It DIDN'T sit well! I guess it's decaf for me a bit longer!
He mentioned trying red meat, turkey and to attempt chicken again. I'm having a hard time even fathoming trying those things - all I can eat right now is cheese, egg, crab and shrimp chopped finely.
He also said I could take ibuprofen once a month for cramps. I've heard other doctors absolutely forbid this but he was like "Sure! Why not?" I guess it's ok just once a month....
