Incisions healing??

I had my surgery on December 27, and I still have 3 incisions that aren't healed. Any of you experienced that??? I'm a little worried about it. Two of them are gapped open about 1/8 of an inch, the other not so much. Then I have 3 others that healed already. The worst 2 are right on my waist line. Is this normal? I'm worried that they aren't healed yet.

One of my stitches came out and it took awhile to heal...just closed within the last few days. Not to worry...but of course, to be sure call the doctor on Monday.

My surgery was 12/14 and today I have one incision which is not completely healed yet. The first three were very quick, the fourth one seemed to lose it redness about week three, the fifth one is just now (week 5.5) losing the redness and the final one which was my largest and longest is still red and scabby. Each time I have other WLS look at them they say it all looks normal to them. I keep the whole area very clean, use a vitamin E cream to keep them from itching and do my best not to "mess" with it! Mine are doing well, they have me using the hibiclens that I used to prep my skin pre-op. If you have any of that, its an antiseptic which will help keep them cleaner.

My surgery was 12-19 and 2 days after my staples were removed 2 of my incisions opened up and eventually became infected. It's been a rough road but they are finally under control. Work with your surgeon...he'll know what to do.

I noticed yesterday that 1 of my incisions never completely healed and part of the stitches is coming out. The other 5 healed pretty well and I have been using Palmer's Cocoa Butter on them to lighten them up alittle. I am going to call the surgeon today to see about this 5th one and the stitches coming out. JaNae
