The December board Stalls- but not for long!
OK so I was in a stall I was at 25 pounds and it would not move from week two to week three zero pounds It was awful so I knew week four would be my week... um nope nada. So I was on the verge to call the surgeon and tell him that maybe he had forgotten to actually do the surgery on me. then this morning I stepped on the scale and WOO Bloody HOO ive lost 30 whole pounds... so I hope that this thing is done for now we will see...

hi all - personally - i refused to buy a scale because i knew it would drive me bonkers! my husband has been calling me the incredible shrinking woman - but today i dont feel like it - at my last weigh in on jan 5 i was down 23 lbs - and wont know how much more i lost untill feb 3 when i go back to see the dr. - but i do need to confess that i havent been getting all of my liquids and or protein in - i try very hard - i puree alot and also my vitamins currently i am only able to take half of them- protein shakes i do try with half a banana and usually can drink a glass full - and lots of crystal light - i know i am rambling but just needed to get it out.- thanks 4 reading - JO
I am going to join right in. I stalled from week 2 to week 4. I had actually gained 2lbs during that time and went back and forth with it for 2 1/2 weeks. I was so upset..... Finally the scale started to move again. Went from 23lbs lost on my two week post-op appt Dec 26 to 27lbs yesterday. I am down from a size 18 jean that was so darn tight the day before surgery to 16 and they are loose in the thighs.
Like my surgeon said we don't want to look at the small picture but at the big picture that is sure to come.....
It is nice to know I am not the only one. I have been so frustrated since the surgery. I guess my expectations just have not been met. I am now about 6 weeks out and I have lost a total of 23 lbs. Last week I had my 1 month follow up (20 lbs lost) and the doc said my wgt loss was average. It doesn't feel average though. I was released to do more exercise since that last appt, so this week I finally started doing more and it seems to be working. I lost 3 lbs so far this week and 2 of those were in the past 2 days after I really started stepping it up.
Week 1 - 11
Week 2 - 1
Week 3 - 2
Week 4 - 2
Week 5 - 4
Week 6 - 3
I started at 330 lbs on the day of surgery. At this rate it seems like it is going to take forever.
