Hi Jackie,
I had surgery a few days before you and I was eating cod within about a week. My Nut explained that I could eat it without puree-ing during that phase because it is so soft and cuts up into such little pieces. So, I will take about a 2 oz piece of frozen fish, put a little bit of seasoning on it and a tiny bit of light butter and microwave for about a min. Then, cut it up with a fork.

Hi Jackie,
I am 4 weeks out and I have started progressing to soft/regular foods. At 3 weeks out, I was experimenting with different foods to see how I handle them. Haven't had any problems thus far. I have tried chili, a dab of pasta salad, taco (soft shell w/chicken), shrimp, crab meat, deli turkey, tossed salad, and chicken salad. I tried to mix my meals up. So if I have regular foods for lunch I might do something light for dinner like tuna or just some cheese and crackers just to get my stomach a rest. I have this fear that I am going to overdue it. Lately, after I eat regular food I am filling full for hours and usually end up just eating at the next meal just to eat. Breakfast usually consists of something quick on my way out to door or at my desk at work like a piece of fruit or slice of turkey wrapped in cheese. But overall, I have just been trying things out. I need to learn how to read lables more so that I can watch the sodium count, calories, sugar and protein levels. I am a work in progress and I know that its going to get better.
Good luck to you!

My taste is still not right. I'll fix things take that baby bite and it seems as if it swells in my mouth. I have eaten so much tuna I feel like I should be swimming in the Gulf. Yesterday for family I made green beans with tomatoes and pork chops. I have to puree the pork chop. So I pureed all of it. Took one bite and couldn't stand it. I am loosing and my dog is gaining. I know its going to be on because he is not going to eat his dog food it this keeps up.
I open a single serving of spam. Thats right spam cut it up and ate some of that. I have a 14 year old grandson so I don't have to worry about eating too much spam. He helps out.

Hi Jackie,
I am not quite 3 weeks out and not eating much, I get 1 oz of egg beaters (I tried a real egg today and ) 1 oz refried beans, and 1 oz cottage cheese. Add a little sugar free protien enhanced pudding, and some jello or popsicles. That's it, boring. Really don't care other than I do enjoy the pudding. Oh I do have a protien drink at least once a day and really like Isopure.
