How far out were you when you had your first stall on weightloss? and how long did it last before you began losing lbs again? Meagan

I am anxious to hear responses to this one. I got to nearly three weeks and have stayed the same now for a week and a half without any movement on the scale. I know it is early and I am still pleased over all. But I wonder how to get it moving again. Vicky

Dont forget it is NOT all about pounds. We just underwent a major surgery. When the scales move, we have lost those pounds, and when it does not move, our bodies are playing catch up and losing inches! It does take time and our window of opportunity should be our entire first year! Hang in there girls! I am a lightweight to start and my first two weeks only 14 lbs came off. I have already heard the comments that I look slimmer in my face and arms, so I hope these are the dreaded inches! Best wishes to everyone!

Vicky, I had surgery the same day you did, and I stalled at 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. This week I've lost a couple, finally. I have been on full liquids since surgery and today I can start meat and veggies, on the Indiana board they said that most of them did the same thing and once they started meats and veggies the pounds started flying off, I hope so. At least we sound normal though. Sarah

Meagan, I had my first stall just after my 2nd week. I was at the same weight for three days (tues, wed, and thurs). I was frustrated, so I promised myself to stay off the scales until the following week. So, on Monday, I weighed myself and was down three pounds. I just passed my second stall a few days ago. Again, I weighed myself for three days and didn't have any movement. I waited until yesterday to weigh myself and was down almost two pounds. I don't worry about stalls anymore because I'm secure in the fact that I'm doing everything right at this point (but it definitely gets harder). Charity

Meagan, I had surgery on the 12th, and hit my first stall at 2 weeks. I then played between 198-196 for the next two weeks. This morning I was down to 192.8. I was so freaking out for those two weeks. I did measure myself last week and I was down 11 3/4 inches since my surgery. Take care, Jodi 218/192.8/130ish

I went for a check up on the 4th. I stayed at the 19.9 lost until this morning. Yeah I was pissed about it. Yesterday I stopped and looked. I wasn't getting in 64oz. I wasn't eating enough either. I felt like most of you that I was eating way too much too soon. So I didn't wait until I felt I was full I would just stop. This morning I had 8oz of coffee with unflavored protein in it. Can't make the coffee as hot as I want it in order to disovle the protein. Later came back 8oz of 2% milk (I just can't do the 1% or skim so no point in starting something I know I am not going to follow through on) With the milk I put one scope of the unflavored protein, one sweetner, one tablespoon of cocoa powder and blend. That taste so much better to me than all the other proteins I have been blending then pouring my money down the sink. I am back on the water. I have a water filter on the outside of my house and I have been drinking this water for 15 years now I can't stand the taste of it. Went and got a gallon of water and I am sipping it through a straw the way I did before the surgery. I just don't gulp. I can have soft and pureed foods. Still afraid of the softs and don't really do them too much. ANY WAY this morning I finally lost a pound. I just hope it doesn't find me in the morning. I can't stay off the scales either. I started to buy a new one this morning and decided I would go buy me a fancy bra instead.
