I am almost a month out from my initial surgery date. (I had major complications and had to have a second ER surgery.) My question is WHAT have you found works for gas? I have the worst trapped gas. So, much so that sometimes the only relief is to take pain meds!! I take pepcid chewables 2X per day and sometimes Tums and Beano. But, they just don't seem to cut it. Any other suggestions? I see the surgeon on Thursday, but I was just wondering if you all had any ideas. Blessings~ Becky

I had that problem too. Gas X works great for me. I know it can be terribly uncomfortable. I chew 2 gas x, 1/2 hour after eating.. Good Luck. Sheri

Hi Becky! So glad to see you on board! I was wondering how things are going for you. I hope that all is well. I found that Gas X works for me. But, I would check with your surgeon first because there are certain things that he/she may tell you that you can or cannot take. Like my surgeon says that I can't take Tums and Tums usually did the job for me before surgery. I am now prescribe Pepcid 2x a day since surgery. So check with your surgeon to see what works for you. Good luck! JaNae

The Mylacon infant gas drops (the generic actually) worked well for me. Whenever I would feel gasy in my stomach, I would just squirt two droppers full into my mouth. I hope you get relief from gas soon!
