Hey All I am so glad I found this site. I am having surgury Jan 26. I was woundering if all of the food has artifical sweetners in it, that you can eat after surgury. Any protein drinks that taste good with out the artifical sweetners in it. I can not use any at all. Anyone who knows of any I would appreciate it. My Dr, office is working on but I would like to have options too. Thanks LeeAnn

Hi LeeAnn, Welcome to the boards - you may want to jump over to the January board, there's a lot of ppl with the same surgery date as yourself. Mine is Wednesday! We're all counting down together!!! Yes, you can eat the artificial sweetners. The Jan postings has a string amongst those of us who dont want chemicals in our food. Look forwrad to seeing you on the January board. This one is great to see what life will be like a month out.... Best wishes, Tiffany

Congratulations on your sugery. I would have to say that Splenda is my best friend now. It doesn't make me sick of gag. Does still have a slight after taste.. bu for me it is better than the other sweetners. I really llike the Nectar brand protein drinks. Can't do the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors any more.. they make me sick. But Nectar comes in alot of fun flavors.. right now I am loving the green apple. 8 oz. of water with one scoop= 23 grams of protein. Best wishes on your surgery Denise 245/?/140
