Very Important, Please read

I don't know how many of us read off the main board, but I do. I was browsing through the posts for today and someone posted that she had goggled her name and found lots of her posts from this site. SO, I also goggled my name. I found on like the third page Melissa Smith, Obesity Help. I clicked on it, and low and behold there was my profile. I had no clue that would happen. Does anyone know how to change my name, so that my real name does not appear???? Melissa

Hi Melissa, Go to "My Profile", log in and click on "General Info" Where it asks for your first/last name change this to whatever you want displayed. For instance, M. Smith would totally confound google as there ought to be a million hits for that Hope you're doing well, Kim

Kim, Thank you so much. I went in and changed my name. So the new name now appears. Melissa

Sharon, You can change it by going into general information. Click on your name either first or last and change it to what ever you would like for the new name to be. I was just as upset as you are trust me. Melissa

Hello, this what I did. I realized after I posted about my daughters surgery that My name and city showed. Arghhh. I was worried about protecting my daughters identity. So I cancelled my membership and wrote a comment as to why. And the very next day I was cancelled and an E-mail confirmed this. So I re registered and used my first name as Mom and my last as Online and put my city as southeast as a general location. The state is correct. I googled my real name and I didnt come up.
